УРОК З АНГЛІЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ У 5 КЛАСІ НА ТЕМУ: «День за днем. Створюємо казку. The Past Simple Tense».

Тема: День за днем. Створюємо казку. The Past Simple Tense.

Мета: вчити дітей складати власну казку за поданим зразком; вивчати правила утворення та вживання the Past Simple Tense; вчити вживати форми минулого часу дієслів в усному та письмовому мовленні; розвивати логічне мислення, пам’ять, мову і мовлення, граматичні уміння та навички; виховувати любов до казки, інтерес до вивчення англійської мови.

Очікувані результати: на кінець уроку учні знають як утворюється та коли вживається минулий неозначений час в англійському мовленні; вміють складати невеличку казку англійською мовою.

                                                               Procedure

I Introduction.

1. Greeting. T: Hello, students. I’m glad to see you. How are you? Today we are going to work over the topic “Day by day. Let’s create a fairy-tale”.

II Main body.

1. Check on homework. Ex. 4 (in a written form), VB pp.123-124 to learn. The rule p.125-126.

2. Warm up.

Answer the questions:

1) Were you at school yesterday?

2) Was your friend at your home last weekend?

3) Did you do your home task yesterday in the evening?

4) What did you do at the weekends?

3. Grammar rules. The Past Simple Tense. Irregular verbs. pp. 126-128.

be – was/were; come – came; do – did; eat – ate; find – found; forget – forgot; have – had; make – made; read – read; sing – sang; take – took; write – wrote.

T: Let’s make our own sentences with these verbs.

Sample sentences: I was at my grandma last week. We sang our favourite songs at the party. I took my book and read a story. He wrote a dictation last Friday. We ate a big cake at our classmate’s Birthday party.

4. Listening. Ex. 2 a), b) p. 128. Listening and reading to the granny’s story “POPPY COPY”. Discussing to the story.

5. Speaking. Ex. 3 p. 129. Using the verbs in the Past Simple Tense and retelling the story.

6. Speaking. Ex. 4 p.129. Saying the own opinion.

7. Speaking. Ex. 5 p. 129. Making the story.

Add some more sentences to the story and write them in your notebook. Start with:

“In Copy land people ….”
