Easter is the holiest day of the year for Christians. It shows their belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

   Jesus is the founder of the Christian religion.  Easter is always celebrated on a Sunday in spring.

In many churches, Easter follows a season of prayer.

On Easter, Christians visit special church services. 

In some countries, children color eggs, and then their parents hide the eggs. The children must find these eggs in the gardens.

 According to tradition, the Easter Bunny is a symbol of new life. This rabbit leaves eggs and candies for children on Easter morning.
