«Англійське чаювання»

“English tea party”

 Мета:

• Ознайомити учнів з традицією чаювання у Великобританії.
• Повторити та систематизувати лексику з теми «Кольори», «Цифри», «Тварини».
• Формувати вміння вступати в комунікацію іноземною мовою.
• Розвивати пам'ять, мислення, увагу, інтерес до англійської мови та традицій.
• Виховувати повагу до інших культур і народів, повагу один до одного.

Обладнання: флеш – картки з кольорами, прапорці України і Великобританії, малюнки до теми «Чаювання», іграшковий годинник, м’які іграшки – тваринки, аудіо запис з голосами тварин. 

Хід заходу

Teacher: - Hello, children! How are you today?

Pupils: - I’m great (fine, OK) – answering one by one

Teacher: We live in Ukraine. We are Ukrainians. And this is our flag. (Show the flag to the pupils). What colours do you see?

Pupils: Blue and yellow!

Teacher: You are right! Let’s count them.

Pupils: One, two.

Teacher: We study English. English people live in Great Britain. (Repeat this name after me, please). And this is their flag. (Show the flag to the pupils). What colours do you see?

Pupils: Red, blue and white!

Teacher: You are well – done! Let’s count them.

Pupils: One, two, three.

Teacher: Діти, в англійській мові є слова, які ми можемо відгадати без перекладу. Наприклад, ми чуємо слово  “colour” і можемо здогадатися, що це «колір» українською мовою. Одне з таких слів “tradition”. Давайте вимовимо його разом і прислухаємося, як воно звучить (хором повторюють слово за вчителем декілька разів). Хто може здогадатися, яке це слово? (Діти називають слово, за потреби вчитель допомагає відгадати його).

 So, traditions. There are some traditions in Great Britain. One of them is English tea party. (Show the pictures with a teapot, a cup, a cake). Who likes tea?

Pupils raise their hands (if they don’t understand the task, translate it into Ukrainian).

Teacher: English tea is tea with milk. (Show a picture with a carton of milk). And we have some cake, sweets and jam with tea (while saying the new words, show the proper picture).

Let’s repeat these words all together and play a game! You say the number from 1 to 5 and I show you a picture. I say the word and you repeat after me. Then try to name the picture yourselves. Let’s start

1. cake
2. jam
3.  tea
4. milk
5. buns

Then the teacher mixes the pictures and the pupils say the numbers in random order from 1 to 5 and name the pictures (the teacher helps if there are no right answers).

Teacher: You are well – done! Now look at this clock (shows a toy clock with the time 5). What number do you see here (the teacher points to 5)?

Pupils: Five!

Teacher: You are right! English people drink tea at 5 o’clock. Now let’s remember animals which live in the jungle. Do you like them? Listen to the sounds of animals and guess them (switch on the sounds of animals).

Pupils: Lion, flamingo, zebra…

Teacher: Some of them came to us. Look! Here is a giraffe, an elephant, a parrot (Show toy animals and give them to some pupils). And now we will say all the colours (show flash cards and pupils say the colour). What colours are our animals? Finish my sentence: A giraffe is _____(brown and yellow), A parrot is _____(pink, red and blue)…

Pupils: Brown, grey, pink…

Teacher: You are right! You are well – done today!
