                (game for 8th formers)

there are 4 teams: stars, bookland, detectivers,  strangers.

I round “Quick minds”

Make as many words as possible. You have 3 minutes.

    Your phrase is Scientific.

II round “guess who I am” (you may get 5 points if you guess from the first tip.4-  the second tip,3- the third tip, 2- from the fourth tip and 1 point from the 5th.)

For “stars”

1. I love nature and people of my native land.

2. I was born in Scotland.

3. I wrote poems.

4. I was born in a poor family.

5. my famous poem  is “My heart in the highlands”

FOR “BOOKLAND”

1. I was born in England.
2. I served in both World wars

 3.I was a dramatist and a writer.

 4.I was an editor of the university newspaper.

  5. My famous story is Winnie-the-pooh.

For “detectivers”

1. I was born in Scotland.
2. I wrote poems and novels.
3. I was fond of Scottish folk songs and ballads.
4. I wrote “Ivanhoe” and “Rob Roy”
5. I am a founder of historical novel.

For “strangers”

1.I was born in Ireland.

2. i lived in England.

3. i was a doctor and a writer.

4. i wrote detective stories.

5.my famous hero is Sherlock holmes.

Iii round “My favourite hero”

( the members of the team prepared the description of their favourite heroes and propose their opponents to guess him or her.)

Detectivers for stars.

(They  may get 5 points if you guess from the first tip.4-  the second tip,3- the third tip, 2- from the fourth tip and 1 point from the 5th.)

IV round “portraits”

Look at the blackboard and write down the names of the writes on a piece of paper in the order they are there, (one correct answer – 1 point)
