Safety Quest: Stay Safe!

Objectives:

• Students will practice the revised vocabulary related to safety rules.
• Students will use practise the learnt grammar rules on present continuous and imperative mood.
• The activities will help to develop the skills of team work, dexterity, to reinforce sports enthusiasm.

Materials:

• Cards with worksheets (different colour for each team)
• Pens

 

1. Lead-in

Discussion:

• So, dear students, we have revised the learnt vocabulary on safety rules and related grammar and now tell one rule or instruction you remember from our lesson one by one.

 

2. Main part

• Now let’s make up two teams, choose the captain and the name of your team.
• I’ll give you the first two cards with worksheets for each team. When I say “Go!” you start doing the first task. When you are ready to another task, read the name of the next station of our quest on the bottom of the sheet. Run there and when the whole team is at the destination point, our volunteers will give you the next card.

The winner is the team which scores more points. Each right answer is 1 point. The team that comes to the end of the quest first, gains one extra point.

So, I wish you good luck! Ready? Steady! Go!
