Про матеріал

Пропоную сценарій проведення свята, присвяченого Дню Подяки. Брейн - ринг серед учнів 11-х класів покаже знання по країнознавчому матеріалу. Цей матеріал буде корисний і цікавий не тільки для учителів, але й для учнів. Вчителі зможуть використати даний матеріал як на уроці, так і в позаурочний час для проведення заходу.

за темою: “День Подяки”

методист ЗОШ I-III ст. №4

м. Жмеринка

Мета: Навчальна - розвиток навичок усного мовлення на рівні вільного спілкування;

Розвиваюча - поглибити знання учнів з краєзнавчого матеріалу;

Виховна-виховувати інтерес учнів до культури країни, мова якої вивчається – США.

Оснащення: комп' ютер, мультимедійна дошка, 2 столи з сигнальними лампами;

Учасники: 2 команди знавців (учні 11–А та 11–Б кл) по 6 чоловік та ведучий – вчитель англійської мови.

Місце проведення: сцена актової зали.

Хід заходу

(Команди 11–х класів по черзі виходять на сцену і представляють себе (назва команди, девіз). Потім займають місця – кожна за своїм столом. На столах є спеціальні устрої для сигналізації про готовність команди до відповіді). Журі – 2 вчителя англійської мови

Вед. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!

Today we’ ll have an entertaining and educating

Programmer .Let’ s play brain-ring. The theme is “Thanksgiving Day”.

And now The rules of the game:

Every class present a team of 6 members

(представлення команд 11А (“Pilgrims” – пілігрими), 11В (“Mayflower”)).

They choose the team captain. One week is given for the theme preparation.
2 sound buttons identify which team is the first to answer, a jury of 2 members to score.
Every correct answer is one point.
Only 1 min is given for the discussion.
The right to answer is given to the team, which has pressed the sound button first.
The questions are written on the multi – board. The questions and answers must be simple and exact.

Вед : Almost every culture in the world has held celebrations of thanks for a plentiful harvest. In Ukraine we celebrate the Harvest Festivals and the Holiday of Autumn.

Now the first question:

In what country do people celebrate Thanksgiving Day?

(the USA).

Вед : The American Thanksgiving holiday began as a feast of thanksgiving in the early days of the American colonies.

How many years ago did it begin as a feast of thanksgiving?

(almost 400 years ago).

Вед : A boat filled with more than 100 people sailed across the Atlantic Ocean to settle in the New World.

When did the people sail across the Atlantic Ocean to settle in the New World?

(in 1620).

What was the name of the state where the Pilgrims settled?

(the state of Massachusetts).

Вед : Their first winter in the New World was difficult they had arrived too late to grow many crops and without fresh food half the colony died from disease.

Who taught the Pilgrims how to grow corn (maize), to hunt and fish?

(the Iroquois Indians).

What were harvested and when?

(in the Autumn of 1621 bountiful crops of corn, barley, beans and pumpkins were harvested).

Вед : The colonist had much to be thankful for, so a feast was planned.

Whom did the colonists invite for this holiday?

(the local Indian chief and 90 Indians).

Вед : In the following years, many of the original colonists celebrated the autumn harvest with a feast of thanks. After the USA became an independent country, Congress recommended one yearly day thanksgiving, for the whole nation to celebrate.
