The Internet

The Internet is one of the greatest inventions of mankind.

Nowadays, almost every home has access to the

Internet. We use the Internet for various purposes: gaining necessary information, taking part in communities, and even making money.

Every year users in a network are not growing smaller. On the contrary,        their   number is increasing.         Two   thirds of Americans regularly use the internet. The second place has been   taken by      the     Asian countries - China and Japan . However, as you see, data are constantly changing. We can draw one conclusion from these indices - every day the number of users is growing rapidly.

Owing to the internet, humanity has a chance to share information, download or transfer files, communicate in various chat rooms as well as learn the latest news in the split second.

Modern life is easy and fun. We have all the amenities. We do not need to go to the movies, because we have big TVs at home. 

The children have cell phones with large displays. Modern technology is useful and convenient. In my opinion, Internet is the most comfortable thing. 

Computers are also an important invention, but Internet is better than any other type of information. 

Originally, Internet was a military experiment in the USA of 60-s. 

But soon it became clear that everyone in the world can use it.

Advantages of the Internet

As I guess almost every third person on our Earth has a Facebook account or Twitter. It is a mainstream thing and such a life-style is hard to avoid. Well, actually, there is no need to avoid it, on the contrary, it is absolutely great to have an opportunity to get to know a lot of people all over the world, gain precious experience and just enjoy communicating. 

Moreover, it is a reliable friend of any student – there are a lot of articles, essays and texts that can be in need while you are searching for information for your studies. All you should do is to type tag-words of your follow-up activity and you will get the information. 

Disadvantages of the Internet

Though Internet-surfing is usually a very useful thing, there are, as always, a few disadvantages. First of all, a lot of people are not able to use Internet properly - as everything they do all day long is chatting, listening to music and watching series. 

There is also a so-called communicating problem. The thing is that people have become addicted to online-life and it is a usual thing to play with your friends online or have a Skypeconference instead of going out. 

The World Wide Web is an information system of interlinked hypertext documents that are accessed via the Internet  

HyperText Markup Language, commonly referred to as HTML, is the standard markup language used to create web pages. 

A computer is a general purpose device that can be programmed to carry out a set of arithmetic or logical operations automatically.
