Text “ On a cold winter day”

It is a cold winter day. The sky is grey. A strong wind is blowing. Mary is sitting near the window and watching the snowflakes. The snowflakes are falling down from the sky… Mary does not want to go out because there are no children in the yard.

Mary likes to dream. She is dreaming about spring now…

It is warm in spring. Birds come back from warm countries. It often rains in spring, but rain is good for plants. Mary’s grandfather lives in the country. He has a farm. She always helps her granddad in his garden in spring. Her granddad usually plants beets, radish, beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots and spinach. Mary likes to plant flowers.
