1. Gerund                       is used after the following verbs:                                                             advise, avoid, cannot,  help, go, mind, prefer    imagine,feel like, suggest,waste.                                  

2.Be+Adjective+Preposition+Gerund                                  be tired of  /to be busy/  to be keen on / be worth                                                             

to be interested in/                                                                                                                                                                 

3. Gerund is used after                      all prepositions    about/after/at/in/for/on/before/of…              

4. Infinitive                   is used after  the following verbs:                                                           afford, agree,  decide, desire,  expect,  fail,  hesitate,  refuse, hope, intend,offer.

5.The verbs                  like, love, hate, prefer                                 etc. can take either a full infinitive or –ing with little or no difference in meaning

Some people like ____ (plan) their holidays independently, while others   prefer ___ (book) a package.

Last summer my  family  could  afford ____  (go) abroad but hesitated __ (get) a package tour.

At first, we intended  ___ (arrange) everything ourselves.  

Can you imagine ___ (fly) to London?                       We wasted our time ___ (book)  tickets and a hotel. 

We hoped___    (take) out insurance, visa but we failed ___  (plan) our holiday independently.
