Вищий ступінь часто вживається зі сполучником than (ніж/за): The Nile is longer than the Amazon.  Ніл довший ніж/за Амазонку.

Найвищий ступінь: The Nile is the longest river in the world.

My country is the most beautiful in the world.

Young – younger – the youngest

Nice – nicer – the nicest

Beautiful – more beautiful – the most beautiful

Funny – funnier – the funniest

Curious – more curious – the most curious

Strong – stronger – the strongest

Intelligent – more intelligent – the most intelligent

Lazy – lazier – the laziest
