Home Alone is a very famous Christmas movie from 1990. The main character is an eight-year-old boy named Kevin McCallister.Kevin has a very large family. One Christmas, they plan a big trip to Paris. The night before the trip, Kevin has a huge fight with his family because they make fun of him. He is angry and wishes that his family would disappear.The next morning, the family is rushing to get to the airport. In the chaos, Kevin is accidentally forgotten at home! He wakes up and finds the house completely empty. At first, Kevin is scared, but soon he realizes his wish came true. He is home alone! He can eat whatever he wants, jump on the bed, and watch scary movies.However, Kevin’s fun does not last long. Two clumsy burglars, Harry and Marv (often called the "Wet Bandits"), plan to rob Kevin’s house, believing it is empty.Kevin bravely decides to defend his home. He turns the house into a big trap. He uses glue on the stairs, puts hot irons on ropes, and hangs heavy paint cans from the ceiling. He sets up many funny and painful traps for the robbers.The burglars try to enter the house, but they fall for every single trick. They are covered in paint, burned, and hit with tools. Kevin manages to hold them off for two full days.In the end, the police catch the robbers. On Christmas Day, Kevin’s mother, Kate, who missed him terribly, finally returns home. Kevin learns that family is the most important thing, and he is very happy to see them all.
