Обладнання: ноутбук; картки з темами, картки з лексичними одиницями; заготовки зі скоромовками, картинки Лондона, аудіоматеріали; тематичні прикраси для класної кімнати.

І. Розділ. Методика підготовки виховного заходу.
Даний позакласний захід є частиною навчальної програми з іноземної мови; захід відповідає загальним завданням навчання та виховання підростаючого покоління. Тема відповідає віковим та індивідуальним особливостям учнів 10 класу.
Позакласний захід було підготовлено заздалегідь. Учні виявилися ініціативними і мали велике бажання допомогти з організацією. Вони допомогли з установкою потрібної техніки та прослідкували за пристойним виглядом класної кімнати та взяли на себе виготовлення прикрас для кімнати.
Крім цього в процесі позакласного заходу учні з задоволенням заздалегідь підготували інформацію та вірші для поетичного конкурсу.
ІІ. Розділ. Методика проведення виховного заходу.
Хід заходу
Teacher: Dear friends! Today we`re having an unusual holiday “English with fun”. It`s a great pleasure and a great honor for me to open it.
I would like to welcome all the personalities who are attending this party: our class-mates and, of course, our jury: it is your English teacher Hanna Igorivna. She will help us today.
So, let`s start. Students, you`ve already learnt much. We had many topics – family, friends, time, weather, flat, clothes, greeting etc. Now you have two teams. Each team has its place. I wish you good luck and we`re starting the game.
Warming up.
Teacher: pupils, you should choose cards with names of topics and say as many words referring to the topics as possible. Topics: (Додаток 1)

Representing the teams.
Teacher: Each team has a piece of paper and felt tips. You have to draw your emblems and introduce your teams.

About Great Britain quickly.
Teacher: Students, now you`d better concentrate your memory. Try to answer the following questions as quickly as you can.

“Just the topic”.
Teacher: Students, you have the other task. I give you papers with some lexical tables. Words are classified in some definite groups. One word in each row is odd. Find it out and underline. (Додаток 2)
At the same time 2-3 students do correction work: a teacher distributes 2 pieces of paper with the words from the topic “Great Britain” miswritten in English.
The jury marks: for both tasks 1 right row or right word is 1 point.

Poetry pause.
Students, what about having a pause? Well, you were suggested preparing some pieces of poetry for reciting. Who would like to be the first? And jury will tell their opinion.
Pupil 1 In Winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candle light.
In Summer, quite the other way,
I have to go to bed by day.
I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people’s feet
Still going past me in the street.
Pupil 2 Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you;
But when the leaves hang trembling
The wind is passing through.
Pupil 3. There is one that has a head without an eye,
And there’s one that has an eye without a head.
You may find the answer if you try;
And when all is said,
Half the answer зависає upon a thread.
Pupil 4. Love Between Brothers and Sisters
Whatever brawls disturb the street
There should be peace at home;
Where sisters dwell brothers and meet,
Quarrels should never come.
Birds in their little nests agree;
And ’tis a shameful sight,
When children of one family
Fall out and chide and fight.
The Captains` tournament.
Teacher: By the way, captains, where are you? Are you ready to have a battle? Well, Now you`ll have something very attractive. Each of you take a card with a tongue-twister. Say it as quick as you can.
The jury marks: each right name of the building or place – 1 point.
“Finish the picture”.
Teacher: Students, you see, I have some pictures and I don`t know what to do with them. I cannot see anything definite on them. Can you help me? Please, finish the pictures. (As a result they should have some symbols of the UK).
Well, let`s check your assignment. Who was right with his idea of a picture?
The jury marks: each correctly painted picture – 1 point.

Well, and we are mostly coming to the end of our competition. The next game is “Who is the faster?”
It won`t be difficult for you to build names of some British cities, yeah?

Musical quiz.
Teacher: My dear friends, I know you like music very much. But do you know some of the legendary musicians and vocalists of the previous times? Listen to some phonograms and guess names of the singers or groups.
(Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Michael Jackson, “Depeche Mode”,
“Beetles”, Joe Cocker, Elton John).
The jury marks: each correctly defined singer or group – 1 point.

ІІІ. Заключна частина – підведення підсумків виховного заходу
Завдання та мету позакласного заходу було досягнуто. Учні 10 класу були активними учасниками позакласного заходу. Час було правильно розраховано, тому весь запланований матеріал вдалося викласти у відведений урок. Форма проведення позакласного заходу вдало підійшла для віку школярів, адже гра та змагання викликали зацікавленість та жагу до перемоги в учнів 10 класу.
