Once upon a time there was the Indian Boy called the Hawk Eye. He was brave, honest and made good friends with animals. The boy was kindhearted and thoughtful of others. He was curious about the forest where he lived. He lived in his tepee.

The Hawk Eye:

I’m The Hawk Eye, I have a good eye. I am very sleepy, It will be my tepee. (The boy comes into the tepee).

One day the Roe came up to his tepee. |
|

The Roe: |
Oh, I’m the Roe! And who are you? The tepee is great! I want to live with you. |
|

The Hawk Eye:
|
I’m the Hawk Eye. Yes, please, come in.

They lived happily together. They had a good time there. The Roe helped the boy in the tepee. But one day they saw the Beaver. |

How do you do! I’m the Beaver! And who are you? |

I’m the Hawk Eye. I’m the Roe. |

Yes, you may, you are welcome. |

They became friends and had a lot of fun together. In the morning they cooked meals and the Boy went hunting. One day the Raccoon came. He was merry and friendly. |

The Raccoon: |
Hello! I’m the Raccoon! Who are you? |
|

|
I’m the Hawk Eye. I’m the Roe. I’m the Beaver. |
|
|
The Raccoon: |
May I live with you? |
|
|
The Hawk Eye: |
Yes, you may! We will be happy to have a new friend! |
|
|
The Author: |
It was great to live together. They did everything together and they always played together. And one day the Blackcock came.

The Blackcock: |
Hello! I’m the Blackcock! May I live with you? |
|
|
|
Yes, you may! We are glad to meet you! |
|
|
The Author: |
And so they all lived together and played together. And now they have got the friend who could wake them up in the morning. The Roe cooked meals. The Beaver washed up. The Raccoon cleaned the tepee. And The Blackcock made tea in the evening.
But one day the Grizzly came.

Hello! I’m the Grizzly, your friend! I want to live with you. Don’t you worry, I’m nice! |

Oh, no! You are bad! You want to eat us! We don’t want you! Go away! |

The Grizzly: |
No, no! I’m nice! I’m your friend! |
|
|
The Hawk Eye: |
Go away, the Grizzly, go away! |

|
The Grizzly went away.
