T: Lots of people love listening to music. I’m sure you also do. Also I’m certain you know that music has different styles. Which of them can you name? (Students’ answers). Today we’ll learn some main styles. Surely you need to know their characteristic features. Let’s work in pairs. Read the descriptions and match them with the styles.

a) T: Music plays a very important part in our lives but tastes differ and you may or may not like some styles. Music can sound wonderful but sometimes you think it sounds terrible. Which music genres do you prefer? Which one you don’t like? Use phrases which are familiar to you.
