 Минулі події. Past Simple.

    Aim

To learn Past Simple    

To identify irregular and regular verbs

To revise and consolidate vocabulary and structures learnt in previous lessons

 

Materials

Photocopies of flashcards

Strips of paper with phrases written on them

Sets of the tasks

 

1. Introduction

 Повідомлення мети уроку

 Today we are going to visit the town of the Past Simple. It’s a very beautiful town. Who lives in this town? Look! These are funny gnomes. What are their names? Their names are Ted, Tim and Ben. They are nice, kind and friendly. They will show us the town. We shall learn some grammar rules, do exercises, sing songs and play games at the lesson.

2. Warm up

Phonetic drills

Let’s train our tongues to speak English.

Repeat after me

Two tiny tigers take two taxis to town.

Listen to the words and clap when you hear [ t]: to, do, tiger, day, take, twelve, hot, bottom, down, town.

 Look! These are the names of the streets. Listen and repeat.

3.  Regular and irregular verbs

Мешкають в цьому місті працьовиті дієслова. Подивіться як вони утворюються. А тепер послухайте як вимовляєтся –ed цих дієсловах.

 

 А тепер давайте допоможемо гномам розкласти правильні дієслова по групам.  [t], [d], [id]).

 А ще в цьому місті живуть неслухняні, ліниві  неправильні дієслова.

4. Game Find friends

You  have some cards with verbs. We have to find your friends. “One, two, three, start!”

5. Reading

We have the short texts about gnomes. Now you read, find and circle irregular verbs.

 

Ted  got up  at 7 o’clock yesterday.  He washed his  face and cleaned his teeth. Then he had breakfast. He took his bag and went to school.

 

Tim came home from work at 6 o’clock yesterday. He cooked supper. Then he watched TV. He read a book. He went to bed at 10 o’clock.

 

Ben came home at 2 o’clock yesterday. He had dinner. Then he cleaned her room. He did his homework. Then he played games.

 

6. Grammar

Побудова стверджувальних речень

 

Гноми дуже трудолюбиві. Цілий день вони працюють в своїй майстерні і перебудовують  речення Present в Past. Давайте їм допоможемо.

Children have five classes every day.

Children had five classes yesterday.

 Гномик Тім дуже полюбляє хизуватися. Давайте не погодимося з ним.. Подивіться як це потрібно робити.
