Тип уроку: урок практичного використання умінь і навичок іншомовної
комунікативної компетентності.
Мета: практикувати учнів в аудіюванні іншомовних текстів, активізувати лексичні одиниці з теми „Національні парки”, розвивати та відпрацьовувати навички усного мовлення, розвивати вміння працювати в групі, розвивати слухову і зорову пам’ять учнів, критичне мислення, уяву та увагу, знайомити учнів з історичними та країнознавчими відомостями про Великобританію; з охороною навколишнього середовища шляхом створення національних парків у різних країнах світу.
Очікувані результати: на кінець уроку учні володітимуть лексикою з теми, застосовуватимуть її в реченнях, в монологічному мовленні, володітимуть історичними та краєзнавчими відомостями про національні парки Великобританії.
Обладнання: підручник для 9 класу А.Несвіт, картки для роботи в парах, групах, мультимедійний проектор, комп’ютер, підбірка відео записів та малюнків країнознавчого характеру, мапа Великобританії, заготовка на дошці тексту для перевірки засвоєння лексичного матеріалу..

Greeting Good morning, everyone. I am very glad to see you. Sit down, please. Are you ready for the lesson? Prepare all your necessary things for the lesson; put your books, exercise books and pens on your desk. I hope you are ready now and we can start working.
Aim: T: During this lesson, we continue speaking about nature and protection rare and endangered species of animal and plants. But today we are going to travel to very beautiful national parks of the United Kingdom. We learn some essential information about these parks and refresh our knowledge talking about parts of the world (East, West, South, North)
Warming up: T: Dear students, I want you to look at this photo. Read the information from this website and try to make a little presentation of this place (You have 2 minutes). Preparing for the presentation answer these questions:
1. What is a word combination “national park” associated with?
2. And what are the aims of national parks?

1. Summarizing: T: You are amazing. Worked so hard today. Did you like the places we have visited? What did you like most of all? Why do people visit such places? What would you do if you visited one of National Parks? And now I want you to write a poem (Cinquain)

2. Read and choose the right variant:
National parks
Millions of people every year visit national parks. Visiting a national park can 1)… a wonderful way of spending a day, but are these parks worthwhile or do they have many drawbacks?
One major advantage of national parks is that they provide an opportunity for wild animals and other species to be protected and conserved.
