Lesson aim: to talk about famous people; Objectives: - to develop reading and speaking skills on the topic «Biographies of famous people». - to practise using Past Simple; - to teach to describe painting and how students feel about the pieces of art; - to encourage to work in pairs and groups; - to arouse the students’ interest in art and famous artists; Learning outcomes: By the end of the lesson the students are expected: - to be able to ask and answer questions in Past Simple about the artists’ lives and work; - to be able to make comparison / to identify similarities and differences in biographies of the artists; - to have practised scanning reading of a biography text; - to have practised using new vocabulary (regular and irregular verbs) |
