МЕТА УРОКУ: «Удосконалити навички вживання нових слів та усного мовлення. Вдосконалити навички читання. Розвивати мовленнєву реакцію учнів.

Виховати зацікавленість у розширені своїх знань та світогляду.»

ОБЛАДНАННЯ: «Підручник М.О. Кучма, Л.І. Морська «English» для 8 класу, робочий зошит, картки для індивідуальної роботи учнів на уроці та презентація.»

ХІД УРОКУ:

I.Організаційна частина уроку.

1.                 Greeting.

2.                 Повідомлення теми та мети уроку. The topic of our today's lesson is «Food and Drinks». By the end of the lesson you should be  able to extend your active vocabulary and talk about what  do you have for the breakfast, lunch, dinner…….

And now I want to draw your attention  to the board where the words of wisdom are written:

«Eat well, feel great, look great!

I eat to live, but I don't live to eat.

I think these words can be the motto of our lesson.»

3.                 Warning – up: введення в іншомовну атмосферу.

Now I'd like to know some of your likes and dislikes in food.

1)  What is your favorite food?

2)  Do you eat soup with bread?

3)  What drinks do you like?

4)  What drinks don't you like?

II.Основна частина уроку.

Vocabulary work.

          Do ex. 1,2 p. 58.

1.     Look at the pictures and remembers the words.

2.     Look at the words and say what young people usually have for breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Speaking.

Do ex. 3 p. 58.

In two groups, discuss the problem. Say what your parents eat or drink every day, three times a week, on special occasions, never.

Speaking practice.

Do ex. 4 p. 59.

In pairs, make up short dialogues and act them out.

Model:

- How about/ what about some sugar to your tea? - No, Thanks./Yes, please.

Writing.       

T – You are going on a picnic? 

Write down what products you will pack. Explain why. Model: ex. 5 p. 59.

MEALS IN GREAT BRITAIN

Breakfast usually consists of a glass of orange or grapes juice, then cornflakes with sugar and milk, after that an omelette with fried bacon. Then British people drink tea or coffee with toast and marmalade.

Lunch is more like our dinner. They have very, very little soup, then meat or fish and a pudding or fruit. At the end they eat different kinds of cheese.

Dinner is very similar to lunch but they do not often eat soup at dinner. They may have some roast meat, fish, potatoes, vegetables and fruit.

For supper they usually have an omlette or sausages, sometimes bacon and eggs, sometimes just bread and cheese and a cup of tea or coffee.

The British never miss the main meal of the day. Even if they travel in train and it is lunch time they go to the dining car to have meal

Read the text and then tell the class what the British people have for breakfast, dinner and supper.
