на тему: «Hobbies»

Theme “Hobbies”
Objectives: - to practise a new vocabulary on the topic
- to develop listening, speaking, reading skills;
- to practise group work;
- to motivate pupils to express their own opinions on the topic;
- to bring up the culture of speaking.
Procedure
- Greetings. Warming-up.
T.: Good morning boys and girls. Glad to see you. Take your seats, please. We’ve got lot of things to do and discuss. But what is the theme of our lesson? Let’s guess. I’ll show you the pictures and you should give the names to them (according to the first letters of the words pupils guess the theme of the lesson.)

T.: What is hobby?
P.: Hobby is a thing you like doing in your free time.
The motto of our lesson is “Tastes differ”.
- Main part.
T.: I’d like you to work in groups today.
- To practise a new vocabulary on the topic
Task 1: Read the words according to their transcriptions and guess what words they mean. And will find out what people can do in their free time.
Task 2: make-up word-combinations
Group 1:
To play→musical instrument, football, …

To draw→a picture, …
Group 2:
To collect→coins, stamps, …
To ride→a bike, …
To watch→TV, …
To listen→to music, …
- Reading skills
T.: Let’s read the text about hobbies, but before reading we should revise our vocabulary concerning this theme. Match the words according to their transcriptions.
