Урок у 5 класі на тему:

«На уроці англійської мови»

Підготувала і провела Расько Г.Г.

Цілі:

  1. Практична: Удосконалювати навички вживання лексичних одиниць у  монологічному мовленні на основі моделі-зразка.
  2. Освітня: Розширювати знання учнів про специфіку іноземної мови.
  3. Розвиваюча: Розвивати в учнів фонематичний слух; слухову та зорову память.
  4. Виховна: Прищеплювати любов в учнів до вивчення іноземної мови.

 

Хід уроку

I.Greeting

  1. Teacher: Good afternoon, everybody. I’m glad to see you. Sit down, please. How do you feel today?

P. I’m hopeful. And you?

T: I’m enthusiastic. And what about you, Sasha?

Sasha: I’m joyful…

T: I’m very glad. Let’s start our lesson with a jazz chant.

Phonetic drill

  1. Listen to me and repeat.

  v -  very, village, victory, vocabulary, volleyball;

  w - where, well, what, window, weather, winter.

  1. Clap your hands when you hear the sound w:

Weather, window, what, window, well, very, language, with, village…

  1. Jazz-chant “Dear Betty, how do you do?”
  1. Dear Betty, how do you do?

 -   Very well, thank you.

And how is sister Sue?

  1. Sister Sue is very well

And sends her love to you,

And so does sister Bell.

  • Oh, how is she?
  1. She too is very well.
  • My love to sister Bell.
  1. Listen to me and translate.
  2. Underline and pronounce the words with v, w.
  3. Read the text in pairs.
  4. Substitute your own names.

Guessing game .T:  Guess, what was my favourite subject at school?

P: Perhaps, Ukrainian.

T: No, you are not right, but I like Ukrainian.

P: I’m sure, English.

T: Of course. So the topic of our lesson is “At the English Lesson”. By the end of the lesson you should be able to speak about your last English lesson. Besides, you’ll revise grammar material – Past Indefinite.

II. Розвиток монологічного мовлення на основі моделі

  1. Interview

T: ( Asks pupils, and they answer the questions.)

  1. What lessons do you have today?
  2. What lessons did you have yesterday?
  3. What lessons do you have on Fridays?
  4. When do you have your English lessons?
  5. What is your favourite subject?
  6. What was your favourite subject in the fifth form?

I’m happy that so many pupils like English.

  1. Practicing vocabulary

T: What do we usually do at our lessons?

Pupils:

Learn to read (write, speak) English;

Learn and write down new words and expressions into vocabularies;

Discuss different problems;

Guess riddles;

Make up dialogues;

Read and retell texts (stories);

Describe pictures;

Write dictations (compositions);

Write letters;

Sing songs;

Play games.

  1. Check the homework
  1. A game “The Best Friend of Mrs. Vocabulary”( in oral and written form).

The pupils say the words of this topic and somebody writes them on the blackboard.

My English Lessons

My favourite subject is English. When I was a school-girl I didn’t have so many English lessons as you have now.  I had English on Mondays and Fridays. At these lessons we did a lot of things. We learnt to read, write and speak English.

Our teacher explained to us new words and expressions and we wrote them down into our vocabularies.

At the English lessons we also read and retold texts, described pictures, asked and answered questions, make up dialogues, played games. Sometimes we wrote dictations at the lessons.

At the English lessons we also learnt to write compositions. We wrote stories about our friends, parents, pets, about our village and so on.

Our English lessons were very interesting. I liked them very much.

 

T: Now, answer my question, please.

P: You had English on Mondays, Fridays.

T: Right you are.

   Reading

T: And now, children, we will read and translate ( children work with a model )

 

My favourite subject is English.

We have English lessons on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

At the English lessons

learn to read, write and speak English

ask and answer the questions

translate sentences

we        read and retell stories

make up dialogues

describe pictures

write dictations

discuss different problems

play interesting games

 

Our English lessons are very interesting. I like them very much and always get good marks.

T: Answer the following questions in chain.

  1. When do you have your English lessons?
  2. What do you learn to do at these lessons?
  3. Do you write down new words and expressions into your vocabularies?
  4. Do you know all the words which you have in your vocabularies?
  5. Do you make up sentences with the words and word-combinations at the English lessons?
  6. Who can make up sentences with the words and word-combinations very well?
  7. What marks do you usually get in English?
  8. Can you ask and answer the questions?
  9. What compositions do you write at the English lessons?
  10. Are your English lessons interesting? Do you like them? Why?

A game”Snowball”

T: We usually do it at our lessons. Complete the sentence, the next pupil adds his own and repeats the previous one.

E.g. At the English lesson we…

P1: …learn to read, write and speak…

P2: …describe pictures, learn to read, write and speak.

  Speaking

  1. Створення ситуації спілкування в групах

T: Let’s work in groups. One group chooses one of the subjects (Ukrainian, Math, Music…), another group – English . Try to compare the chosen subject with English, find similar and different features.

Group A1: We read and retell stories at our Ukrainian lessons.

Group B1: We read and retell stories at our English lessons too.

Group A2: We do grammar exercises at our English lessons.

Group B2: We do not do grammar exercises at our Music lessons.

 

ІІІ. Заключна частина уроку. Підбиття підсумків уроку.

T: What did we learn at our English lesson? What tense form is used my question?

P1: Past Indefinite.

T: ( showing the cards with the verbs in the Present Indefinite form ) Say the second form of the following verbs:

 to write      to read       to retell      to speak      to sing

    to take       to draw      to make      to learn       to describe

 to translate                  to discuss                        to begin

 

Підсумкова гра “A Good Pupil” ( gives practice in the use of Past Indefinite)

ІV. Оголошення домашнього завдання

 

Розповісти про найцікавіший урок англійської мови, використовуючи модель-опору для підготовки.

 

Summary
