Урок англійської мови у 9-му класі.

TEMA: Світ кіно та театру «The World of Cinema and Theatre»

ЦІЛІ ТА ЗАДАЧІ:

Практична: Створювати умови для розвитку комунікативної компетенції учнів. Удосконалювати мовні уміння по темі «Театр та кіно»

Навчальна:  Розвиток умінь монологічного та діалогічного мовлення. Повторення та активізація вивчених лексичних одиниць та мовних зворотів; розвиток сприйняття іншомовного мовлення на слух; уміння систематизувати і узагальнювати отримані знання.

Розвиваюча: Розвиток творчої  уяви та мислення; формування уміння колективної мовної взаємодії; формування міжпредметних навичок та умінь.

Виховна:   Формування лінгвістичної та соціокультурної компетенцій; виховання культури учнів засобами іноземної мови.

ОБЛАДНАННЯ:

Картки для індивідуальної роботи,картки для роботи в парах та роботи в групах. Використання аудіо та відео записів.

ХІД УРОКУ:

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1. Привітання. Формування мети та завдання уроку.

2. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

T.: - Today we are going to talk about cinema and theatre. Cinema and TV films have become an important part in our life. Some of us like going to the theatre too. The motto of today’s lesson is: «The world is a stage and people are merely actors» (William Shakespeare).

Can you comment on this quotation?

P.: - From my point of view, the world of cinema and theatre lets us look at ourselves and become better.

1.          Повторення та активізація лексики уроку.

1.        Гра “Listen and Guess the Word”

1.     A kind of film telling about the life of cowboys in America. (a western)
2.     A film that is funny or has a happy ending. (a comedy)
3.     A kind of film about dangerous and exciting situations. (an adventure film)
4.     A kind of film telling about some military events. (a war film)
5.     A person who comes to the cinema to watch some film. (a viewer)
6.     A set of events in any story or a play. (a plot)
7.     A film using drawing and not real people or animals. (a cartoon)
8.     A film about life in the future, often describing space travel and life on other planets. (a science fiction film)
9.     A place in the theatre where actors and actresses perform the plays. (a stage)
10. A theatrical performance where actors express their feelings with the help of dance. (a ballet)
11. A performance in which the actors sing instead of speaking. (an opera)
12.  A person who comes to the theatre to see a performance. (a spectator)
13.  A place in the theatre where you can buy tickets for the performance. (a ticket booth / a ticket box office)

1) What do you usually do at your leisure time?

2) Do you go to the cinema? What films do you like to watch there?

3) Have you ever been to the theatre? What did you like in the theatrical performance?

4) Is it easy to be an active participant of the performance or the film you watch?

5) Do you prefer watching movies at home or going to the cinema?

 Let’s talk about advantages and disadvantages of watching films at the cinema and at home. You’ll be devided into two groups .Get ready for discussion.( Клас ділиться на 2 групи. Одна з них висловлюється щодо переваг перегляду фільмів вдома, інша висловлює аргументи стосовно переваг кінотеатру.)

— Have you seen the movie Soldier Jane?

— It is interesting. Does she serve in the army?

— Strong woman.

— Yes. But here the main thing is that in modern society women are still placed below men, and this is not correct.

— Do you like superhero movies?

— Yes, very.

— Why? This is a superficial movie, designed for teenagers.

— You’re wrong. This is in essence the development of ancient myths, Greek, Egyptian. Opposition of good and evil. A pseudo romance — tricksters like the Joker — christological figures. There are Often motifs from the Gospel.

— There are two layers here — the top one — full of special effects, just for the young audience, for the viewers who just want entertainment. And there is a layer deep, and maybe several layers. Here the directors share their philosophy, their reading of ancient myths.

— Look. By the way, comics are often blamed for surface accuracy. But graphic novels are often just as serious literature as classical works. And the degree of influence on modern society, they are much superior to the dead classics.

— Do you like watching films?

— Yes, I do. What about you?

— Yes, of course. My favorite types of films are romantic drama, comedy, western and detective films.

— Oh, I don’t really like detective stories. I prefer to watch historical films.

— So, what is your favorite movie?

— I think that the «Gladiator» is best movie for me. I can watch it million times. And Russell Crowe was believable in this role. On my opinion, it is the best role of Russell Crowe. Do you know the fact that Crowe lost 40 pounds before filming process?

— Really? I have no idea. He worked hard.

— Yes, I absolutely agree with you. And also in 2001 this historical drama became winner in five Academy Award nominations (is known as Oscar), for example as best picture and Russell was chosen as best actor in a leading role.

— I’m sure he earned this award.

— Let’s speak about you. What is your favorite movie?

— «Gone with wind» novel by Margaret Mitchell. I like the acting, but I don’t remember who is a producer.

— I heard about it. But I have not seen it. Why do you like this movie?

— I like the main character — Scarlett o’hara. She goes through many troubles, but her mind and strong will help her to survive.

— I think you are right. Scarlett is very interesting and strong character.

4.Практика аудіювання. Учні слухають аудіозапис “My favourite movies”та виконують завдання на розуміння прослуханого.( використання інтернетресурсу TestEnglish).

5. Рольова гра “інтерв’ю з зіркою”.(один з учнів виступає у ролі запрошеної зірки, інші готують запитання, які їх цікавлять).

III. Заключна частина уроку.

Your homework for the next time is to prepare a short video about your life in lyceum.(about 2 minutes) Imagine yourself as a director of a movie.
