Procedure

Beginning of the lesson

Greet your children with „Good morning children! I'm glad to see you". They greet you Warm-up 1) This is Jack And that is Jill. This is Jane And that is Bill. Presentation

Marry (mascot): I've got birthday today.

T.: Happy birthday to you, dear Nick! Have a good time! Be happy! Have fun!

• Play the cassette (cas.) Pupil's Book (PB) Lesson 1(L 1), page 52 (p. 52), picture 1 (pict. 1)

• Pupils (Ps) listen, say and point to the right pict.

• Ask them to repeat in chorus and individually.

Practice

• Play the cas. with the task «Translate».

• Let Ps translate new vocabulary.

• Activity (act.) «Talk».

• Act. «Say it». Ps listen to the cas. and act out a dialogue.

• Ps work in pairs. Let them talk about their birthdays. Song presentation

• Play the cas. For the song «Happy birthday to you». Ps listen & read silently.

• Play the cas. Again. Children listen & repeat after the speaker till they can sing it indi¬vidually.
