The Lviv Historical Museum
1. In 1893 the Historical Museum of the city of Lviv was founded.
2. In 1940, the Historical Museum of Lviv and the National Museum named King Jan III were merged into one institution – the Lviv Historical Museum.
3. Today its collections number more than 370 thousand museum exhibits from ancient times to the 21st century.
4. Every year the museum is visited approximately by 400 thousand people.
