Підтема: Молодіжні субкультури

Практична мета:

• ознайомити учнів з новими ЛО та відпрацювати їхню вірну вимову, тренувати їх вживання під час виконання різноманітних усних вправ;
• практикувати учнів у читанні тексту;
• розвиток мовленнєвої компетенції учнів з теми, робота в групах під час роботи над тематичним текстом;
• навчати учнів відтворювати знайому і нову інформацію.

Розвиваюча мета:

• розвивати мовленнєві здібності учнів: мовну здогадку, різні види пам’яті (слухову, зорову, оперативну, тривалу), уяву;
• використовувати специфічні знання з інших предметів;
• розвивати здатність знайти і використовувати необхідну інформацію для практичних цілей і будувати «нові знання»;
• розвивати в учнів уміння переносити знання та навички в задану ситуацію;
• розвивати здібності самостійно планувати мовленнєві дії із застосуванням нового матеріалу;
• удосконалювати комунікативні здатності учнів.

Виховна мета:

• виховувати в учнів здібності до співпраці, культуру спілкування, доброзичливості, активності, працьовитості та позитивного ставлення до англійської мови;
• стимулювати активність учнів: пізнавальну і комунікативну.

I Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

1) Привітання

T: Good morning! I’m glad to see you. Let’s start our lesson.  I hope you’ll be creative and active during our today’s lesson.

T: Today we’re going to speak about youth cultures. We’ll get to know some interesting facts about them, read the text related to the topic, get some information about youth cultures and keep a conversation about them going.

1. Eminem is actually the 30^th best selling musician in history. His records are 46,5 million units.

2. In the mid 1970s punk rock appeared.

3. It is a surprising fact to know that more than 50 percent of the hippies were teachers.

1. Youth cultures are formed in reaction to society values.

2. T: In groups, read the text and choose the best youth group for each of these people, trying to motivate your arguments and explain why you decided to suggest this youth group. Present the result of your work to the classmates.

1. Looks and fancy clothes are very important for Julia. She is always in her search for identity. She sometimes spends hours in the bathroom just to get the perfect hairstyle or match the right outfit.

2. Baggy clothes and baseball caps are the most usual outfit for Peter and Paul. They are very good with words and rhymes. Basketball is number one for them. They love playing basketball in their free time, so school playgrounds are among their favourite hangouts.

3. Chris is picky about music. It is the centre of her world. Rock and heavy metal are among her favourites. She likes to join her friends at concerts of rock music. They are among her favourite hangouts.
