Тема за програмою: Шкільне життя.

The subject: Іn the Classroom.

The aim: by the end of the lesson pupils will be able to ask and answer about school things using an example and write letter Vv.

The objectives:     - to improve skills of using the vocabulary in speech;

                            - to explain how to write the new letter (Vv);

                            - to spread pupils’ knowledge on the topic;

                            - to develop skills of work in pairs, memory, skills of comparison;

                            - to bring up careful attitude to school things.

The equipment: multimedia system, CD player, pictures (school things), ABC-cards.

The procedure of the lesson

I. The introductory part.

    1. Greeting.

Тeacher: Good morning.

Pupils:  Good morning, dear teacher!

             Good morning. How are you?

             I am very happy

             To say hello to you.

    2. Warming-up.

Do you like to study?

How old are you?

Where do you study?

P1-P2

(Учні у парі відпрацьовують ці запитання)

Тeacher: Let’s make more teachers.

(Учитель одягає одній з учениць намисто, а учню – краватку.)

Are you a pupil or a teacher?

Is Dana a pupil?

Is Dana a teacher?

Is Alex a teacher?

Is Alex a pupil?

    3. Phonetic drills.

Chant

•   If you hear [ᶞ], say [ᶞ] and clap (3 times). [ᶞ] (5 times)

 (Учні вимовляють звук і одночасно плескають у долоні)

Repeat after me: this, that. This is a computer. That is a clock.

•   If you hear [w], say [w] and flex (3 times). [w] (5 times)

(Учні вимовляють звук і одночасно виконують рух зігнутою рукою)

Repeat after me: what, where. What is this? What is that? Where is it

II. The main part.

1. Aim

Teacher: Today we are going to speak about the things in the classroom. But first I must tell you something. I met an English girl Vicky in the morning. She came from London to Ukraine to visit her granny. She told me she had lost all her school things. Vicky asked to help her. We must gather her things and put them into her toy-bus. Then we shall send them in a parcel for Vicky. Do you want to help Vicky? She is a good girl, but so inattentive! By the way, do you take care of your school things? Don’t you lose them like Vicky?

(Hа дошці – малюнок дороги з прикріпленими малюнками шкільними предметів, на яких – символ кожного етапу уроку; автобус)

2. Game “Rock, Paper, Scissors” (review of the vocabulary).

Teacher: So, let us start. To get Vicky’s things we must do some tasks. Our bus comes to the first thing. What is this? (Тhis is a pen.) Look, there is a picture on it. It means we must play a game.  

(Діти поділяються на дві команди, на дошці – картинки із зображеннями предметів у класі (computer, blackboard, door, clock…). Один гравець починає зліва, інший – справа. Вони швидко називають предмети на картинках, торкаючись їх, при цьому рухаються один назустріч другому. Коли учні зустрілися, викидають на пальцях  “Rock, Paper, Scissors”. Переможець залишається біля своєї картинки і продовжує називати далі, на місце переможеного стає наступний гравець із команди і теж називає предмети, але з початку ряду. Перемагає команда, гравець якої називає всі картинки.)

Teacher: We have done this task and we have Vicky’s pen. I am putting it into her toy-bus.

3. Speaking.

Teacher: Our next task is to make up dialogues. And we shall get a pencil if we do it. Уou will work in pairs. Each pair gets a card. Make up dialogues using the card. Help yourself with gestures.

Example:

-What is this?

-Тhis is a computer.

-What is that?

-That is a clock.

(Учні отримують картки, на яких зображено два предмети. Для того, щоб зорієнтувати, з чого починати діалог, на предмет, про який потрібно запитати, вказує довга або коротка стрілка. Довга стрілка – сигнал починати запитанням What is that?, коротка - What is this?)

Teacher: Great! And the pencil is in the bus.

4. Speaking.

Teacher: Take your projects and tell about things in the classroom.

5. Physical relaxation.

Teacher: Excellent! You have done the task. We have got Vicky’s copy-book. 

6. Reading.

Teacher: And now the bus is near the last thing. It is a…(rubber). То get this thing we shall have fun with ABC. First sing the ABC song.

(Hа екрані – відео, діти співають пісеньку, яка допомагає пригадати букви та відповідні їм звуки.)

Teacher: Good. Now look at the cards, name the sound, the letter and the words.

(Учні дивляться на картки із буквами, називають звук, букву і слова на цю букву. За правильну відповідь учень отримує картку з відповідною буквою.)

Example: Sound [k], letter C. Cat, carrot.

Teacher: Let us have fun with your letters. I say the letters, pupils with these letters come and stay near each other. And then read the words we have.

(Учитель швидко називає букви. Учні в такому ж порядку стають, будуючи слова, які інші учні читають.)

Words:  cab, dig, elf, bag, milk, jam, bed, film.

Teacher: Very well! We have the rubber! And we can send a parcel to Vicky. Look, I have got a box with her address. But we do not know how to write her name! So, let us learn the new letter!

7. Writing.

Teacher: Look, there is a surprise for us in the end of the road. Oh, it is our new letter!  But first look at the pictures and repeat: vet, van, Vicky. What is the first sound in these words? Yes, sound [v]. And the name of the letter is V. Repeat.

Далі учитель пояснює, з яких елементів складаються велика і мала  літери Vv. Щоб підготувати руку першокласників до письма, пропонує виконати пальчикову гімнастику:

Ten little boys can stand up straight,
Ten little boys can make a gate,
Ten little boys can make a ring,
Ten little boys can bow to the king,
Ten little boys can dance all the day,
Ten little boys can now hide away.

 Teacher: Now you are ready to write the new letters.

(Учитель детально пояснює написання великої і малої літер. Потім учні пишуть букви у повітрі, після цього прописують у зошитах-шаблонах.)

Teacher: And now write the word “Vicky” on the stickers and stick them on the box. Vicky will get the parcel very soon.

III. The summary.

Reflection

Teacher: On the blackboard you see the symbols of all tasks we did. Put a green magnet near the task you liked the best. Put the red magnet near the task that was difficult for you or you did not like.
