Тема: Місто. Орієнтація в місті.

 

Мета. Навчальна: активізувати знання учнів із теми, повторити вивчені ЛО та ознайомити учнів з новою лексикою теми; розвивати навички усного діалогічного мовлення, читання та аудіювання; відпрацювати вживання модального дієслова should в контексті теми, яка вивчається.

  Розвивальна: продовжувати формувати комунікативні навички учнів; розвивати пам’ять, мовну здогадку та творчі здібності учнів; розвивати культуру спілкування в ситуації “Як пройти..?”; формувати потребу практичного застосування англійської мови в різних сферах діяльності.

  Виховна: виховувати повагу до прийнятих в суспільстві норм та правил (вчити дотримуватись правил дорожнього руху); виховувати почуття відповідальності за збереження життя і здоров’я; виховувати ввічливість у спілкуванні з іншими людьми; формувати вміння працювати в команді, сприяти прагненню учнів до колективної роботи і вихованню почуття відповідальності за спільну роботу.

 

Обладнання:  - слайди з текстами та ілюстраціями до теми, роздруковані для кожного учня тести, карточки з запитаннями, карта міста. буклети з правилами дорожнього руху англійською мовою, картки з текстами та завданнями, дорожні знаки, плакати та малюнки на тему «Правила дорожнього руху», ноутбук, роздатковий дидактичний матеріал, наочний ілюстративний матеріал.

 

Тип уроку: комбінований

 

 

 

 

 

Хід уроку.

 

1. Організація класу. Привітання.

    Т.: - Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you.

    Ps.: - Good morning, teacher!

    Т.: - Are you ready for our lesson?

- How are you today?

    Ps.: - We are fine, thank you.

    Т.: - Dear children, you can see two colours on my table – red and green – choose the colour you like the best. Guests, today we are going to have two teams. (The pupils choose the name for their teams and the teacher announces them).

Team № 1 is called “…” and the captain is ...

Team № 2 is called “…” and the captain is ...

    Т.: - Are you ready? Let’s start our lesson. During the lesson you will get points for each correct answer and the team which have more points will be the winner.

2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

Входить Незнайка.

Neznayka: I am sorry. May I come in? Can you help me?

Teacher: What’s the matter? Who are you?

Neznayka: My name is Neznayka and I am lost. It’s my first visit to your town. Could you help me, please?

Teacher: Of course, we’ll help you. What’s the problem?

Neznayka: All my friends are in the zoo now but I don’t know how to get there. I have got a map of the city but some buildings are not marked on it. Will you help me, children?

Children: - Yes.

    Т.: - As you can see each of us can lose the way in an unknown city, that’s why we have to know how to get some necessary information. So, today we are going to learn how to ask the way and give directions. Also we will practice our grammar skills in using the modal verb should and learn some new words and some rules of safety in the street.

 

3. Перевірка домашнього завдання.

 РЗ, впр. 3, ст. 32

 Учитель збирає робочі зошити наприкінці уроку для перевірки правильності виконання завдання.

 

4. Уведеня в іншомовну атмосферу.

Фонетична зарядка. (Pronunciation drill).

    Т.: - Before starting our work we’ll have a warming-up and your task is to repeat the tongue twister ”From the Cinema to the Theatre”.

Учні хором повторюють слова скоромовки за вчителем: ”From the Cinema to the Theatre, From the Theatre to the Cinema”.

 

Мовленнєва зарядка.

Актуалізація вичених ЛО. (Brainstorming).

    Т.: - And now let’s help Neznayka to complete the map with proper buildings. But first of all I would like to see if you know the names of buildings which are in the city. We have got two teams. You will name the building in turn. The last team which names the building is the winner.

 (Учні в командах по черзі називають назви споруд у місті).

    Т.: - Well done. And now let’s stick the buildings to the proper places on the map. You should take the picture with the building, name it and stick it.

 (Діти з кожної команди по черзі виходять до дошки, беруть картинку із зображенням споруди, називають її англійською мовою і прикріплюють її на крту, відповідно до номеру).

    Т.: - While you are completing the map the captains of your teams will do the task on the cards (Match the pictures with their definition).

5. Введеня нового лексичного матеріалу.

    Т.: - Well done. Neznayka, now you know where the buildings on the map are and you know where is the zoo. So you can go to your friends.

    Neznayka: Yes, but I don’t know how to ask the way. Can you teach me?

    Т.: - Children, will we help Neznayka?

    Children: - Yes.

    Т.: - So we have to learn how to tell the way.

    Т.: - Look at the signs and guess their meaning.

(Вчитель показує учням малюнки із зображенням нарямку руху і пропонує учням здогадатися, що означають зображення. одночасно вчитель озвучує малюнки англійською мовою).

    Т.: - Open your books on page 56. Let’s do Exercise 2.

(Учні хором читають словосполучення за диктором).

    Т.: - Now look at the pictures and try to say in English what do these signs mean.

(Вчитель показує картки із зображенням напрямків руху, а учні в командах намагаються назвати їх англійською мовою).

 

6. Відпрацювання лексичного матеріалу уроку.

Аудіювання.

A) Pre-listening activity.

    Т.: - Thank you very much. I see that you know how to show the direction. Now let’s see how we can ask and explain the right way. You are going to listen to the dialogue between two boys and the policeman. The boys are asking the way. And of course, they are using “magic words”. Before listening let’s revise the “magic words” of politeness.

(Учні мають назвати «чарівні слова»: вибачте – excuse me, дякую – thank you, нема за що – not at all).

B) While-listening activity.

    Т.: - You will got cards with the dialogue. Some of the words are omitted. You’ll have to fill in the gaps while listening to the dialogue.

(Учитель роздає картки, учні слухають діалог і самостійно заповнюють в ньому пропуски).

 

 

 

 

Прослухайте діалог і заповніть пропуски. TELLING THE WAY Excuse _____. Yes? Where is the Apollo __________ here? ______ straight ahead. The cinema is at the end of the Green _________. Thank _____ very much. ______ at all.

C) Post-listening activity.

    Т.: - Let’s check the dialogue. Look at the exercise 1, page 56 in your books. Read the dialogue. (Два учні читають діалог за ролями та перекладають його).

TELLING THE WAY

• Excuse _me_.
• Yes?
• Where is the Apollo _Cinema_ here?
• _Go_ straight ahead. The cinema is at the end of the Green _ Street_.
• Thank _you_ very much.

7. Фізкультхвилинка.

    Т.: - Now it is time to have a rest for our body and our eyes.

(Учні вимовляють римовки та роблять відповідні рухи).

1. Stand up, hands up,

Hands on the hips,

Bend left, bend right,

Turn around but not sit down.

 

2. Look left, look right,

Look up, look down,

Look around.

Look at your nose,

Look at your toes,

Close your eyes.

Open, wink and smile.

Your eyes are happy again!

 

8. Тренування учнів в діалогічному мовленні. Парна робота.

    Т.: - Let’s practice dialogues. You will work in pairs. Each pair will have a card with a dialogue. There are pictures instead some words. Your task is to complete the dialogue and practice it with your partner. I hope that after this task you will be able to help Neznayka and show him the way to the zoo.

(Учні в парах читають діалоги і тренуються в їх відтворенні. Після цьго декілька пар відтворюють діалоги біля карти).

TELLING THE WAY Excuse me. Yes, can I help you?     Where is the church  here?     Go straight ah to the circus         .  Then turn right.  . The  church   is at the end of the Church Street. Thank you very much. Not at all.

 

TELLING THE WAY Excuse me. Yes? How can I get to the           zoo       ?     Go      straight a to the               circus. Then    turn left  . The       zoo          is   at the end of the Church Street. Thank you very much. Not at all.

 

TELLING THE WAY        -    Excuse me. Yes? Is this the right way to the          theatre  ?     Yes, it is. Go        along     the Green Street to the     museum    .     Then    turn right . The          theatre    is on your left. Thank you very much. Not at all.

 

    Т.: - And the last pair of pupils will tell us about how to find the way to the zoo. Neznayka, listen attentively and you will be able to find the way to find the way to the zoo and meet your friends.

(Одна із пар відтворює діалог про те, як дістатися до зоопарку).

TELLING THE WAY Excuse me. Yes? How can I get to the           zoo       ?     Go      straight a to the              circu. Then    turn left  .  . The       zoo         is   at the end of the Church Street on your right. Thank you very much. Not at all.

 

9. Відпрацювання граматичного матеріалу (вживання модального дієслова should).

A) Робота з підручником.

    Neznayka: Thank you very much! Now I can get to my friends. I will run.

    Т.: - Wait. Don’t forget about safety rules on the road. Children, let’s tell Neznayka about the road signs.

- Which rules in the street do you know?

- Where should we cross the street?

- Can we go when the light is red?

- Can we go when the light is yellow?

- Can we go when the light is green?

- Where should we look first when we cross the street: left or right?

Let’s do exercise 4 on page 57 and see if we are right. Pay attention to the verb should. Коли нам слід щось зробити, ми вживаємо дієслово ...(should), а коли нам не слід чогось робити ми скажемо ... (shouldn’t).

 

В) Вікторина-презентація “Road safety”.

    Т.: - I see that you know street rules. Now let’s say what we should do when we see different road signs. Neznayka listen very attentively, this information will help you.

(Кожній команді по черзі показують дорожні знаки, учасники команди повинні сказати, що означає той чи інший знак, використовуючи модальне дієслово should, shouldn’t).

 

 

 

10. Повідомлення домашнього завдання.

    Т.: - Аt this lesson we had a good practice asking the way and giving directions. So your homework will be to draw a map and describe your safe way from your house to your school.

 

11. Піведення підсумків уроку.

    Т.: - OK. Now let's see which team has more points. (Counting points). The winners today is TEAM: … They will all have excellent marks. But I think you've all done a great job today. We've revised the traffic rules and remembered the road signs. We've helped Neznayka to get to the right place. I hope you will always remember traffic rules and never get into trouble on the road. I have prizes for you for your good work – a special leaflet where you can find the traffic rules for everyone not to forget them. (Giving prizes).

 

"Rules of the road" Look up and check the light. It’ green. When all the cars have stopped It’s time for you to go. Strictly observe traffic regulations! Don’t forget traffic rules! They are very important. Follow them! Respect them! Don’t dream on the road when you cross it! Explain to your friends how to behave on the roads.
