Subtopic: Vegetables. In the shop. Speaking.

Outcomes: By the end of the lesson students will be able to:

•           know new lexical units of the lesson – carrot, cucumber, mushroom, tomato, pepper, potato;
•           speak about buying vegetables in the shop;
•           write the words with the help of the prompts.

                                                                          Procedure

I Beginning of the lesson.

1.       Greeting. Sing a greeting song: Hello! Hello! What’s your name?

                                                                      What’s your name? What’s your name?

                                                                      Hello! Hello! How are you?

                                                                      I’m fine, thank you.

2.       Aims: During our today’s lesson we are going to learn new words – names of vegetables. We will also speak about buying food in the shop – make the dialogues.

II Main body.

1. Checkup homework.

Ex. 5 p. 89 –Make a short text about yourself using the prompts.

AB Ex. 2 p. 75.

2. Warming up.

1.       Fill in a or an. Встав a або an.

7. Speaking. Ex. 4 p. 90. Act out the dialogue (ex. 3 p.90).
8. Vocabulary practice. Find the odd one out. Знайди та викресли зайве слово.
