Family and Friends

My name is Emily, and I live in a small town with my family. There are five people in my family: my parents, my brother, my sister, and me. My dad is a doctor, and my mum is a teacher. She is the heart of the family because she always takes care of everyone and keeps our home cozy. My dad often says that I might follow in his footsteps and become a doctor one day, but I’m not sure yet.

My brother Jack is 15, so he’s a teenager. He loves playing football and sometimes argues with me, but we always make peace quickly. My little sister Lucy is 7, and she likes drawing pictures of animals. My parents are very tolerant and patient with us when we argue.

Every Sunday, we visit our grandparents. Grandma makes delicious apple pie, and Grandpa tells funny stories about his childhood. In their living room, they display family photos on the wall — pictures from birthdays, holidays, and school events. After lunch, we all go for a walk in the park.

I also have two best friends, Anna and Ben. We study at the same school. Anna is very creative — she loves painting and playing the guitar. Ben is funny and always makes us laugh. We often do our homework together and talk about our favorite books and movies. I feel lucky to have such a wonderful family and good friends.
