                                                                   Easter in Ukraine.

There are lots of holidays in Ukraine. But my favourite holiday is Easter. It is celebrated all over Ukraine. We start to prepare for this holiday a long time before. We clean our houses, buy lots of food.

On Saturday we go to church to bless Easter baskets. People usually put there some eggs, paska (traditional Easter bread)  ham, sausage, butter, cheese, salt and a candle. But we don’t eat this food on Saturday. On Sunday  morning all the members of the family sit round the table  and have breakfast together. The first thing we eat is an egg.            In the afternoon we visit our  relatives and friends.

We have a very interesting and a bit crazy tradition in Ukraine.  On Monday people water each other. They always have a lot of fun!
