Конспект уроку за темою ' Free Time ' , 5 клас. Підручник : New Challenge 1, Pearson Учні тренуються використовувати прислівники частоти та вивченої лексики за темою в усному та писемному мовленні. Учні слухають текст про вільний час хлопчика Бена, відповідають на запитання та заповнюють проміжки в тексті. Для повторення вивченої лексики за темою 'Місця' використовується гра на дефініції( учні пояснюють вивчені слова).

Form 5 Topic: `My free time`

Outcomes: Students will be able to talk about their free time; to use the adverbs of frequency in oral and writing speech

Procedure

I. The beginning of the lesson

1.Greeting

Good day, everyone! I`m glad to see you. How are you getting on?

2. Aims

Today we`re going to speak about your and your friends` free time

II. The main part

  1. Warm up (Students choose the card and answer the questions one by one)
  • How many hours do you usually spend at school?
  • What time do you usually go home after school?
  • What do you usually do after school?
  • What do you like doing when you have free time?
  • Do you prefer watching TV or reading books?
  • How often do you stay in all day and play computer games?
  • How many hours of homework do you do every day?
  • Where do you go in your free time?
  • Where are your favourite places in town?
  • Do you spend your free time with your friends or your parents?
  • How often do you go for a walk?
  • Are you interested in sport? Do you do your morning exercises?
  1. Revising the place vocabulary. Explanation work.
    1. Each of students come and chooses card and has to explain the word without naming it. Other students have to guess the word.

CARDS:

Café, library, bus station, railway station, hospital, shopping centre, cinema, car park, swimming pool, theatre, post office, bowling alley, museum, Internet café, snack bar

  1. Worksheet.
    1. Sort the letters to make place and spell the word.

5.1 Ben tells about his habits and free time. Listen and fill the gaps.

5.2 Answer the questions:

         6. Pair work. Handouts cards.

Use the 1st column and ask questions to the partner. Use `useful tips` . Write down the partner`s answers.
