As if

You can use as if to say how someone or something looks/sounds/feels,ets.

Example: The house looked as if nobody was living in it.

                 Ann sounds as if she`s got a cold,doesn`t she?

You can also say It looks/sounds/smells as if

Example:Tom is very late, isn`t he? It looks as if he isnt coming.

                It smells as if soeone has been smoking in here.

Exercise 1. Use the sentence to make sentences  with as if

(she had hurt her leg,she was enjoying it, you`ve seen a ghost,he hadn`t washed for ages,she was going to throw it at him, they hadn`t eaten to throw it at him,they hadn`t eaten for a week,you need a good rest, he was half-asleep, i`m going to be sick)

1.Tom looksry tired. You say to him  as if you need a good rest

2.When you talked to Jack on the phone last night, he had difficulty speaking. And he said some strange things. He sounded.................................
