Text I. ABOUT MYSELF, MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Text 2.About My Grandparents

1. Read and translate the text.

      My name is Betty. I live with my parents in London. I often visit my grandparents who live next to our flat. My grandma is fifty and my granddad is sixty-two but they are very active and energetic.

      They live in a big house. My granny is always busy with cooking and cleaning the house. She likes gardening very much. I like to help her in the garden. My granddad is a carpenter by profession. He works very well. He can fix tables and chairs.

      Sometimes I go shopping with my granddad or cook with my grandma. We have a good time together. I love my grandparents so much.

Text 3. Ricky’s Room

1. Read and translate the text.

      I’m Max. I have an English friend. His name is Ricky. I was in England last summer at his place and I liked it a lot. Ricky’s family has a big two-storeyed house. There is a nice green garden around it. In the middle of the garden there are some flowerbeds with beautiful roses. English people like gardening, you know.

      Ricky’s room is on the left. There aren’t many things in it: two beds, a writing table with a lamp on it and a bookcase full of books. Ricky is interested in sports. There are many pictures of English sportsmen on the walls of his room. He likes football and David Beckham is his favourite footballer. There is a big poster with him on the door of Ricky’s room. Near the window there is a big football board game and we often played it in rainy weather. But when the weather was sunny we played football with Ricky and his dad in the garden.

     I liked my holidays very much.
