T: Good morning! I’m very glad to see you! 

    Let’s start our lesson with a song

Ss move and sing the song 

T: What’s the song about?  

Ss: It’s about school and friends 

T: Very well! There is no school without lessons. Pay your attention to the screen. 
Try to guess the lesson

T: Look at the pictures and name the school subject 

T shows the pictures and Ss name the school subjects 

T puts the pictures on the board 

T: There are loads of interesting school subjects. Some of them your favourite ones 
because you do the activities you like at them.  

What do we do at the lessons? Match school subjects to activities. 

Ss match and say what they do at the definite lesson 

S: We count and do sums at Maths lessons 

Speaking.

Game “ The Author’s Chair”

T: Now I need two volunteers. Who wants? Come here! 

  Sasha, sit down , please, and don’t look. Kate, write your favourite school 
subjects on the board.  

  Sasha, open your eyes. You have to guess the lesson. You can choose someone 
who’ll help you. 

Ss  mustn’t name the lesson but they can describe what they do at the lesson 

Activity “ What’s your favourite lesson? “ 

T: Have you got your favorite lessons? 

Ss: Yes! 

T: Now you’ll find out favourite lessons of your friends and groupmates 

  You’l have one minute only to go around the classroom and ask each other “ 
What’s your favourite lesson? “ 

Remember as many answers as you can. 

When you hear the timer, you stop asking and take your seats. 

Pair Work 

T: In pairs ask “ What’s 

Lera’s  

favourite lesson?” and count correct answers.  

  You have one minute only!( timer ) 

Ss work into pairs  

T: Time’s up! How many correct answers did you get? 

  Swap the roles and ask again
