Національно-патріотичний захід про Україну " Ukraine is our Motherland" (в рамках тижня англійської мови)

Ukraine is our Motherland.

Цілі: Вдосконалювати навички вживання лексичних одиниць, навички аудіювання, усного мовлення, читання, розвивати мовленнєву реакцію, комунікативні здібності й пізнавальні інтереси учнів; виховувати зацікавленість у розширенні своїх знань, любов до своєї країни, національну ідентичнність, повагу та інтерес до її історичного минулого.

Обладнання: ноутбук, відео фрагмент, тематичні ілюстрації України, текст для аудіювання, підручник,матеріал для леп-буку.

Хід заняття:

1. Привітання і повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

• Hello everyone! Nice to meet you at our lesson! How are you? I hope that you are fine and you'll be active at the lesson.

2. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

= Watch the video fragment and tell, please, what we'll talk about.

You are right. We'll talk about Ukraine.

3. Заучування вірша.

Учитель звертає увагу учнів на дошку, де записаний вірш.

You can go to the East; you can go to the West.

But at home it is better, but at home it is best.

-Do you like the poem, children? Does it show what you feel when the word «Ukraine» is mentioned?

Let us learn the poem.

Учні хором повторюють слова вірша за вчителем, потім декламують його самостійно (декілька разів)

Sunflower – соняшник

 Wheat – зерно

 Vyshyvanka - вишиванка

Cossack – козак

 Wreath – вінок

 Hut – хатинка

Rushnyk- рушник

 Viburnum – калина

Anthem – гімн

Trident - тризуб

4. Основна частина уроку.

1. Повторення назв частин світу англійською (На карті)

The north,   The south,    The east,   The west  (північ, південь, схід, захід.)

2. Говоріння. Робота з картою.

The Black Sea, The Sea of Azov, The Dnipro, The Dniester, The Carpathian Mountains, The Crimea Mountains, Mount Hoverla, Lviv, Kyiv, Odessa.

• Why do people travel to Ukraine? Look at the blackboard and complete the word mар.

а)Pre listening. Answer my questions.

2. What are our district and region?
3. What is your favorite place in Ukraine?
4. What cities would you like to visit?

b)Listening. Guess what city it is? ( під українську мелодію)

I think it’s my favorite city in the world. It is very big and ancient. It has two parts an old city and just city. In the old part you can find a lot of places to visit. There are a lot of old streets with old buildings and small shops with souvenirs. There are a lot of things to do there. There are museums, galleries there. It is city that is never boring. It is full of historical buildings and also there are a lot of modern buildings there as well. There are many chestnut-trees  in the streets. Haven’t you guessed yet? It is our capital of Ukraine-Kyiv.

5. Виготовлення та представлення леп-буку за темою.

-What state symbols can you name? ( Flag, Trident, anthem)

- What national symbols can you name? (sunflower, wheat, vyshyvanka, cossack, wreath, hut, rushnyk, viburnum)
