New Year lesson для учнів 3-4 класів

Відкритий урок з англійської мови за темою “New Year” для учнів 3- 4 класів.

Цей матеріал у цікавому ігровому форматі допоможе познайомити учнів з новою лексикою, підвищіти мотивацію до вивчення матеріалу.

Мета - познайомити з традиціями та культурою країни, мову якої діти вивчають, збільшити лексичний запас слів у дітей.

Обладнання: відеоролики, прикрашений клас, пісні, костюми, наліпки та іграшки, які діти зробили своїми руками.

1.       Greetings

Good morning boys and girls. How are you today? Look at the window! What can you see there?

(snow, snowmen, people and houses in the snow, trees in the snow.)

Today we are going to talk about New Year! It’s a very wonderful holiday, everyone likes it! 

2.       What is New Year for you? (Here is a box with small pieces of papers with wards, children must take one out and make a phrase or sentences with the wards they have).

- Tree, balls, letter, card, present, Claus, Christmas, bells, ornaments, cloth, carols, winter. - So, children make sentences.

3.       It’s so good when you have a family, because some children don’t have it!  We can talk a bit about how wonderful to have a family, instead of the most expansive, unnecessary things children sometimes want for New Year.

4.       Let’s listen and then read the text about children and Santa.

Santa: It’s Christmas. Hello, reindeer. Are you ready? Let’s go. Ho –ho- ho.

Boy : Look at the Christmas tree and the stars.

Girl : It’s very pretty. Listen.

Boy :  What is it? Look, it’s Santa……and the Christmas presents!

Look,  it’s a robot! What’s your present? 

Girl : It’s a doll.

Santa: the Children are very happy!

Children: Thank you very much Santa!

5.       Some children prepare winter poems!

It’s winter! It’s winter! Let us skate and ski! 

It’s winter! It’s winter!

It’s great fun for me.

Snow on the ground 

Snow on the tree Snow on the house Snow on me!

Merry, merry Christmas 

Is likely to come

Merry, merry Christmas You are welcome!

The snow is falling.

The wind is blowing.

The ground is white.

All day and all night

6.        Then we can decorate our Christmas tree with the ornaments children made themselves. 

(we can draw a big Green Tree on a big piece of paper and stick balls on it!)

We also can practice different English wards putting balls -put, hang, decorate, promise, wish, etc. 

7.        Then it’s time to sing a song “Jingle bells”

But he is so busy and he isn’t at home, but we can leave the message for him. What would you like to ask him to give as a present? Children can talk about presents. 

9.        Now we can play a game “Santa’s bag.  The teacher can prepare before the lesson small presents for children. Look a pen, a pencil, a game board, etc.

10.    Guess whose present is it? Vicky can play chess, Sasha is a Math champion, Lena can draw very well….. 

Look, there is a present for Kate. It’s a pen, because you write interesting stories,  Look, there is a present for Sasha, It’s a ruler, because you are a champion at Math. Look, there is a present for Lena, it’s a beautiful notebook, because you are very good at drawing.

11.    Now it’s time for the crossword.

12.    At the end of the lesson children can write a wish, than can give it to each other. Then take a photo together.
