Objectives:
• to improve lexical skills;
• to revise and practice vocabulary on the topic;
• to improve speaking, writing, reading and listening skills;
• to develop skills to work in pairs;
• practice in using determiners and pronouns;
• to bring up the interest in learning English.
Outcomes: by the end of the lesson pupils will be able to describe people’s clothes, have practice in using determiners and pronouns.
Equipment: printed cards, worksheets, pencils.
Procedure
Warm-up
Write three items of clothing which:
- only girls and women usually wear;
- people often wear to do sport;
- people often wear on a cold day;
- people often wear on a hot, sunny day;
- people wear on their feet.

Topic of the lesson
Today we speak about clothes, describe people’s clothes, practice in using determiners and pronouns.

Reading
Pupils work in pairs. They read the descriptions and paint people. Then the teacher collects the pictures and hangs them on the board and reads the descriptions. Pupils must guess people.
1) Tony is wearing a light blue cap, black glasses, a green T-shirt, and white shorts. He is also wearing red socks and light green trainers.
2) Aisha is wearing an orange jacket, a blue t-shirt, green trousers, and yellow trainers. She is also wearing red socks and a small watch.

6) Rashida is wearing a pink shirt. She is also wearing brown trousers and grey trainers. She is wearing a necklace.
7) Luis is wearing a light blue beanie and blue jeans. He is also wearing a red jumper, large black sunglasses, a large watch, and brown boots.
