Main aim: - read the text about Mother’s Day;

- sing songs,

 - tell what Ss usually do on Mother’s Day ( 2 sentences);

- make a card they want to give to their mothers;

Subsidiary aim: -learners will understand the lexis connected to the topic;

• learners will be more aware of  traditions of Mother’s Day in Ukraine

Personal aim: - to explain instructions clearly

• to pay attention to ICQs

Procedure

I Introduction

1. Greeting

Hello! Hello!

It’s so nice to say.

Hello, hello and

Have a nice day!

2. Warm up

Are you ready to start our lesson?

Green, yellow, blue

Good morning!

How are you?

II Main Part

1.Matching

There are a lot of holidays. Look at the pictures and name the holiday

Birthday       Christmas                 Mother’s Day

Match the pictures and greetings

Happy Birthday!        Merry Christmas!       Happy Mother’s Day!

2. Song “Presents”

When we go to the party we give presents. Let’s sing a song “Presents”

(Make a circle)

3. Game “Guess the object” ( S-Cl)

Do you like to play at the party?

Look! I have some objects in the bag.

Put your hand in the bag, feel the objects and guess what they are by saying,

 Are they (dolls)?

 Class answer, Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.
