Greeting: Hello kids! There are guests in our lesson today, let’s say “Good morning” to them.

Cooking dishes

 

Today we are going to perform the following tasks and at the end of the lesson we’ll be able

  • to learn and practice the cooking verbs
  • to use the Imperative Mood
  • to make up our own jazz chants
  • to tell each other the recipes of dishes
  • to present own recipes for video blogs.

Homework check

Your homework was to do the task on the worksheets and fill in some /any the words into the gaps. When do we use some? Any?

We use some in the positive sentences and any in negative and questions

Pre-listening:

We are going to listen to the jazz chant. Its title is “add some salt and pepper”. Have you ever cooked any food that contains such ingredients as salt and pepper?

Today we are going to watch an interesting video about cooking show. And then we’ll create our own recipes and you’ll present them.

  1. Hi class! Welcome to my kitchen! Today I’m going to be making potato pancakes. First I need a recipe. Here is my recipe for potato pancakes. There are 5 ingredients in making potato pancakes.

Listen to the second part and fill in the gaps.

  1. The ingredients are: 1 onion, 3 or 4 eggs, 4 potatoes, some salt and some oil.
