Listening comprehension (Phonetic drill):

Pre-listening:

We are going to listen to the jazz chant. Its title is “add some salt and pepper”. Have you ever cooked any food that contains such ingredients as salt and pepper?

While –listening: 

 Listen to the jazz chant for the first time and choose the right pictures.

1. Hi class! Welcome to my kitchen! Today I’m going to be making potato pancakes. First I need a recipe. Here is my recipe for potato pancakes. There are 5 ingredients in making potato pancakes.

What is the recipe?

Listen to the second part and fill in the gaps.

2. The ingredients are: 1 onion, 3 or 4 eggs, 4 potatoes, some salt and some oil.
