План-конспект уроку у 5 класі за темою:

"Nice and Tasty"

Aims:

  • Educational: to activate vocabulary related to the "Food" topic; to consolidate grammar skills in using countable and uncountable nouns, as well as interrogative structures with How much / How many; to improve listening and speaking skills.
  • Developmental: to develop students' communication abilities, logical thinking, memory, and attention in a remote learning environment; to enhance skills in using interactive tools (Kahoot, QR codes).
  • Social: to foster a culture of communication in public places (shops), to build interest in learning English through games and interaction, and to encourage self-confidence in students’ knowledge.

Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

  1. Vocabulary: freely use food names and classify them into categories (Fruit, Vegetables, Meat, Dairy).
  2. Grammar: accurately distinguish between countable and uncountable products and correctly choose between How much and How many.
  3. Listening: understand the main idea of an English video about "At the Grocery Store" and extract specific information (prices, quantity).
  4. Speaking: act out a short dialogue for a "At the shop" situation, using language clichés for purchasing goods.
  5. Digital Competence: successfully use online platforms for educational games and self-reflection.
  1. Introduction
    1. Greeting & Icebreaker: "Food Identity" (5 хв)

Teacher: "Good morning, my dear students! I am so happy to see you today. Let’s get to know each other better, but in a 'tasty' way! Listen to the rules: call your name and a food item that starts with the same letter. For example: I am Maria and I like Milk. Now it's your turn! Sasha?"

  • Student Sasha: "I am Sasha and I like Strawberries."
  • Student Denis: "I am Denis and I like Doughnuts."

2. Brainstorming: Guess the Topic (3 хв)

Teacher: "Well done! You are very creative. Now, look at the screen. You can see different food items. Your task is to take the first letter of each word and discover the secret word of our lesson! Let’s do it together." (На екрані картинки: Pear, Rice, Orange, Dog-hot, Upside-down cake, Carrot, Tomato, Steak)

Students: "P... R... O... D... U... C... T... S!" Teacher: "Perfect! Today we are talking about PRODUCTS."

  1. Sorting Activity: 4 Groups (7 хв)

Teacher: "We have so many products, but they are all mixed up! Let’s help them find their 'homes'. I am sending a link in our chat. Click it and sort the products into 4 groups: Fruit, Vegetables, Meat, and Dairy."

Teacher: "Check your results! Did you put Milk in 'Dairy'? Is Chicken in 'Meat'? Great job!"

  1. Game: Countable or Uncountable? (5 хв)

Teacher: "Now, let's play a 'Reaction Game'. I will name a product.
