План-конспект уроку з англійської мови у 6 класі

Тема: Визначні місця Лондона.

Цілі: вдосконалювати навички читання, усного мовлення, уживання в мовленні граматичних структур ( спеціальні запитання ) і лексичних одиниць із теми, удосконалювати навички вимови; розвивати вміння послідовно висловлюватися іноземною мовою; розвивати мовну здогадку; виховувати інтерес до іноземної мови, подорожування.

Обладнання: граматична таблиця, ноутбук, DVD диск про Лондон, картинки визначних місць Лондона, підручник зошит.

PROCEDURE

1. Introduction.

Greeting

Teacher: Good morning children.

Pupil: Good morning teacher.

Teacher: I am glad to see you.

Pupil: We are glad to see you too.

Teacher: At our lesson we have guests-the teachers of our school.

Pupil: We are glad to see you too.

Warm-up

Teacher: Let’s start our lesson.

Tell me please: Who is on duty today.

Pupil: I am on duty today.

Teacher: Who is absent?

Pupil: All are present.

Teacher: What day is it today?

Pupil: Today is Tuesday.

Teacher: What date is it today.

Pupil: Today is twenty fifth of February.

(pupils writes date on the blackboard.)

Teacher: What weather is like today?

Pupil: The weather is fine. The sun is shining brightly.

Teacher: The sky is blue.

What season is it now?

Pupil: It is winter.

Teacher: Do you like winter?

Pupil: Yes I do.

Teacher: What winter months do you know?

Pupil: December, January, February.

Teacher: What is your favourite season?

(Pupils answer.)

Homework

p. 107 project work.

Teacher: As usually we shall start from phonetical drills.

Let’s rewise pronunciation of sound [ t ]

(Pupils say how to pronounce this sound.)

Teacher: Twice twelf twenty-four.

(Pupil repeat after teacher. Then one by one.)

2. Main part

Teacher: Today we have last lesson on topic „Around the world ”. During some lessons we study

new words, got some information about English- speaking countries, introduced

interesting places in London and rewised grammer matirial «Special question» and now

we shell check our knowledge

Practice the grammar. Reading.

Teacher: Let’s rewise special question. What is it?

Pupil: The special question is the question which begins from special word.

Teacher: What these words are?

Pupil: What, where, how, when...

Teacher: Children do you what to have any information about me?

Pupils: Yes, we do.

Teacher: Ask me some special questions.

Teacher: All right. Now. Let’s do exercise number 1, page 106 work in groups.

One of groups ask and another answer. The last group analyse answers.

Pupil 1 : Which is the highest waterfall in the world.

Pupil 2: It is Angel Falls.

Pupil 3: You are right. It is Angel Falls. It is in Venezuela.

Teacher: Good. Now I’ll check your knowlegde about London. I’ll read some sentences. You must say «true» or «false ».

London has no many places of interest -

British Museum is the biggest museum in London +

Teacher: Next our task is revision the lexical words. Open your workbooks on p. 64 ex. 2.

You must write these words and say translation.

Then they make word combinations and sentences.)

Teacher: Now you must answer my questions and continue this story. Make up the dialogues.

Role-play „In the Travel agency”

Agent: Come in. Good morning!

Pupils: Good morning!

Agent: What do you want.

Teacher: I and my children what to have excurcion on London.

Agent: Oh. It’s very nice. Our agency is a new organization. But we have good

guides. They know much interesting information about London. Listen to the guides, please.

Guides begin to describe the interesting places in London.

Guide 1. I am a guide. My name is... I’d like to tell you about St Paul's Cathedral. It is the greatest work of England's greatest architect ['a:kitekt], Christopher Wren. The Cathedral was begun in 1675. It was opened in 1697 but was finished only in 1710, when Wren was almost 80 years old. Some famous men of England have got their memorials there.

Guide 2.  lama guide. My name is... I’d like to tell you about The Houses of Parliament. Its official name is the Palace of Westminster. It is the place where members of British Parliament work. At the north end there is a famous clock tower, Big Ben. In fact Big Ben is really the name of the bell in the tower not the clock.

Guide3. 1 am a guide. My name is... I’d like to tell you about Madame Tussauds This famous museum has got wax models of famous people from pop stars to prime ministers. There is a gift shop.

Guide 4. 1 am a guide. My name is... I’d like to tell you aboutThe Tower of London. It is the oldest building. Since it was built in 11th century, this castle has been a royal palace, a prison, a zoo and many other. Today it’s a museum and houses the Crown Jewels.

Guide 5.  I am a guide. My name is... I’d like to tell you about Trafalgar [tra’faslga]

Square. It is in the centre of the West End. On the north side there is the National Gallery, in the

north-east comer there is the National Portrait Gallery, and in the centre there is Nelson's

Column with a figure of the great seaman.

Guide 6. 1 am a guide. My name is... I’d like to tell you about Buckingham ['bAkirjam] Palace. It is a place where British Queen and her family live. In front of the palace, there is a Monument to Queen Victoria, who was one of the most favourite British queens. She ruled more than any other and helped make England strong.

Guide 7. 1 am a guide. My name is... I’d like to tell you about the London Eye.

It is in London, of course, and it designed by British architects.

However, it is not making in Great Britain at all! The main parts of the Eye built in Holland. Other parts made in the Czech Republic, France, Germany and Italy. The parts carried to Great Britain by ship. Then they put together in London.

Guide 8. 1 am a guide. My name is... I’d like to tell you about the British Museum. It is the biggest museum in London. The museum is famous for its library-one of the richest in the world. (Pupils ask the questions to the guides.)

Agent: Do you like our information. Do you want to go on excurcion

Pupils: Yes we do.

Agent: We have low prices. And for children we have discount. You can travel by bus or by foot.

Teacher: How much does it cost?

Agent: 200 euro by foot, 400 euro by bus. Will you take?

Pupils: Yes. We shell.

Agent: Becides you can take for rent a camera. And make many interesting photos.

Pupil 1: 1 Is Cathedral a big building?

  1. Where is Trafalgar Square?

How much does it cost?

Agent: 10 euro.

Pupil 1: Good. I shell take it.

Pupil 2: 2 What is at the north end?

6 Who lives in Buckingham Palace?

How much does it cost?

Good. I shell take it.

Agent: Becides we have DVD you can buy too.

Pupil 3: 3 Are the models of famous people really wax?

  1.    Where did the main part of the London Eye build?

How much does it cost?

Good. I shell take it.

Pupil 4: 4 Is Tower of London cinema now?

  1. Is the library in the British museum the richest in the world?

How much does it cost?

Good. I shell take it.

Teacher: We take excurcions.

Teacher gives money.

Agent: And a map of interesting places of London is a present for everybody of  us.

Teacher and pupils: Thank you.

3. Summary

Teacher: Everybody of you was very active. I thank you for the lesson. Did you like our lesson? The lesson is over. Good-bye.
