Lesson objectives

Students:

- understand a listening text about professional skills with full comprehension;

- can speak and ask wh-questions about work experience and skills required for a job;

- can write a short descriptive text about work experience (according to the model).

Teaching Aids:

Textbook, exercise books, task cards, multimedia presentation, audio materials related to the topic, computer, interactive whiteboard.

Procedure

I. Introduction

1. Greeting.

2. Creating a foreign language atmosphere (Virtual Ball Game).

II. Main Part

- Announcing the topic and lesson objectives (Learning Outcomes).

- Theme of the Day (National French Toast Day, Red Planet Day, International Systems Engineer Day, Black Friday, Buy Nothing Day).

- Assessment criteria (“I’m OK, Help” cards) – “Black Friday Special Offer”.

- Group work (Scrambled Letters Group Activity).

- Vocabulary game (Fly Swatters “What am I?”).

- Grammar activity (Walk and Talk “Past Simple Negatives and Questions”).
