Obiective:The students will be able to explain why eating healthy foods is beneficial for their bodies.

Assessment:

After discussing the impofiance of healthy eating, students will create a group poster showing different examples of healthy foods. They will include labels and drawings to demonstrate thew understanding. The posters will be assessed based on accuracy and creativity.

Key Points:

      Eating healthy foods provides the body with the necessmy nutrients for growth and development.

      Healthy foods help to strengthen the Immune system and protect against illnesses.

      A balanced diet includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains, and daily products.

It is important to limit the consumption of sugary and processed foods.

Opening:

Begin by showing pictures of different types of food and ask students what they notice about the food choices.

Facilitate a discussion by asking questions like: "What do you think is healthy or not healthy about these foods?" "umy is it impofiant to eat healthy foods?"

Introduction to New Material:

1.      Introduce the concept of healthy eating by defining what it means to eat healthy.

2.      Provide examples of different types of healthy foods and explain their nutritional benefits.

3.      Use visual aids such as food pyramid posters or flashcards to help illustrate the key points.

4.      Anticipate the common misconception that all healthy foods are tasteless or boring. Emphasize that healthy foods can be delicious and enjoyable.

Guided Practice:

Divide the students into small groups and provide each group with a set of food pictures.

Instruct the groups to sort the pictures into two categories: healthy foods and unhealthy foods.

Walk around the classroom to monitor the groups and provide guidance when needed.

As a whole class, discuss each group's choices and encourage students to explain their reasoning.

Independent Practice:

Instruct students to create an individual collage using magazines or printed pictures of different foods.

Students should cut out and glue healthy food choices onto one side of the collage and unhealthy food choices onto the other side.
