"Пори року (Seasons)"

На дошці надпис All Seasons Are Beautiful.

Клас прибраний кульками (білими, жовтими, зеленими, оранжевими) з написами назв місяців. На стінах , дошці малюнки дітей, композиції на тему “Пори року”.

 

Teacher: Good morning, dear children and teachers. Good morning, dear guests. I'm glad to see you at our party. I think it will be interesting and unusual.

 

Pupil 1: Good morning, dear friends! Glad to see you! You are welcome to our English party “All Seasons Are Beautiful”. We are going to speak about seasons and months of the year.

 

Pupil 2: Long ago the Earth was hot and dry. There was no winter.

There was no spring or autumn. It was summer all the time. Every day the sun rose but there were no clouds to cover it. The grass was brown. There were no rivers or lakes. The air was dusty.

 

Rabbit: There is nothing to eat, nothing except dry grass.

 

Duck: There is nothing to drink. And I cannot swim.

 

Polar Bear: It's too hot. There is no ice for me to sit on.

 

Bird: It's too hot. I cannot fly.

 

All animals: It's too hot. We must do something about it. But what can we do?

 

Polar Bear: I have got an idea. We must go to skyland and see the Fairy who lives there. She will help us.

 

Pupil 1: So the animals traveled for many days and nights. They came to the edge of the Earth. Then they went high up to the sky. At last they saw a

very nice house and knocked at the door.

 

Fairy: Hello, dear animals. How can I help you?

 

Rabbit: Hello, dear Fairy. We have got a problem. It’s too hot on the Earth.

 

Duck: There is no water to drink and swim.

 

Polar Bear: There is no ice to sit on.

 

Bird: There is nothing to eat.

 

Fairy: Take these boxes (bags). But do not open them, until you reach the Earth again.

 

Rabbit: This box is for me.

 

Duck : This one is for me.

 

Polar Bear: I'll take this box.

 

Bird: I'll take the last one.

 

All animals: Thank you, dear Fairy.

 

Pupil 2: The animals started their long trip home. After many days they came back to the Earth.

 

Polar Bear: I'll be the first to open the box. (читає слово Winter).

 

Winter: I am Winter. I’m cold. My friend Santa is very old. I'm frosty. Trees are bare. Snow is here and ice is there. Days are short and nights are long. Nature sleeps and winds are strong. I’m the season when children ski, play snowballs and dance around the Christmas tree.

 

December: Chill December brings the sleet, Blazing fire and Christmas treat. I’m the month, when children skate on the strong ice.

In December we celebrate Saint Nicolas Day. And when December ends, the New Year will begin.

 

January: January brings the snow, make your feet and fingers glow. I’m the month when wind is chill. And icicles hang from the window sills.

In January Ukrainians celebrate many holidays and the greatest is Christmas with its carols.

 

February: February brings the rain. Thaws the frozen lake again. I’m the month when mornings are dark, and birds are do not sing in the forest and park.

 

Polar Bear: (іде до зими, сідає з ними).

Winter is really wonderful?

I like snow and ice. I like holidays and games. I'm happy.

 

Bird: Now it's my turn to open the box. (читає слово Spring)

 

Spring: Snow is melting. Winter's past.

I'm Spring and I'm here last.

Birds are coming. Leaves are green. Winds are blowing. I'm Spring.

Birds are building nests again.

After frosts we have warm rain.

You can jump and you can sing.

I'm lovely. I'm Spring.

 

March: March brings sunny days and winds,

So we know that spring begins. March wind goes out to play. He will have such fun today! When the boys and girls come out, he blows their caps and

hats about.

 

April: April brings the primrose sweet we see daisies at our feet. Nature is awaking. Birds are singing. The sun is smiling. The bright day is ringing.

 

May: May brings flowers, joy and grass, the holidays for us.

Deep in the woods a song I hear,

A robin is singing, “May is here!"

Then at my feet a violet blue is singing,

"Sam blooming for you!”

 

Flower 1: Flowers bloom from buds on stems.

 

Flower 2: They are as pretty as precious gems.

 

Flower 3: New seeds travel to and fro.

 

Flower 4: By the wind and water we go.

 

Flower 5: And the cycle keeps on going.

 

Flower 6: Soon new stems and leaves are showing.

 

Together: We are bright and gay.

We dance every day.

Girl: Spring is lovely. It gives us flowers and leaves.

It also brings a lot of holidays. The day we celebrate christ's rising from the dead is called Easter. It is one of the greatest Christian holidays.

Easter is time when certain traditions are observed. It is always celebrated in spring.

There is old custom to dye or paint eggs in Ukraine.

Traditionally the eggs are painted different colours. They mean the awakening of life.

 

Bird: Spring is lovely. And what a nice season I had in my box.

 

Duck: Now it's my turn to open the box. (читає слово Summer).

 

Summer: The sun shines brightly.

The days are fine.

I'm hot Summer.

I’m a good time.

A lot of flowers grow in the wood.

The grass is soft and berries are good.

Children swim in rivers and lakes every day.

They have a good time.

They are happy and gay.

 

June: June brings tulips, lilies, roses.

Fills the children's hands with posies.

The sky is blue.

The rains are few.

 

July: This is the season, when nights

are short. And children have plenty fun and sport.

Boating and swimming all day long.

Will make us well and very strong.

 

August: In summer the sun is bright.

And children have holidays each day and night.

In summer we celebrate a big holiday - Day of Independence of Ukraine.

Duck: I'm happy because I have a river to swim in. My season is the best.

 

Rabbit: I want to open my box now. (читає слово Autumn)

 

Autumn: I'm the season when fruit is sweet.

I'm the season when school friends meet.

I'm the season when days are cool. When you eat apples and go to school.

Summer is over. The trees are all bare.

There is mist in the garden and frost in the air.

 

September: ( в руках кошик із фруктами)

This is the season when fruit is sweet.

This is the season when school friends meet, when noisy and gay, and brown in the sun, with their books and bags to school they run.

 

October: (з парасолькою)

Fresh October brings the pheasant.

Then together nuts is pleasant.

The rain is raining all around.

It falls on field and tree.

It rains on the umbrellas here, And on the ships at sea.

 

November: (вінок з листочків)

Dull November brings the blast,

Then the leaves are whirling fast.

The winds are blowing.

Nature is grey.

The sky is cloudy every day.

Rabbit: My season is really good.

It gave me sweet carrots and cabbages.

I'm happy.

 

Teacher: Our party comes to the end.

Al animals are happy as they found the way to change the Earth, to make it nice and pleasant.

We are glad to have four beautiful seasons.

We know that every season is nice and gives us something special.
