ПОЗАКЛАСНИЙ ЗАХІД  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ALICE IN WONDERLAND 7 FORM

Цілі: перевірити знання учнів, набуті після прочитання книги, збагатити словниковий запас; виховувати потребу читати художню літературу, прищеплювати естетичний смак, розвивати мотивацію до вивчення англійської мови та англійської літератури; розширювати світогляд учнів щодо літератури та культури країни виучуваної мови.

Оснащення: оформлення залу малюнками учнів з сюжетами твору, посмішка Чеширського кота, портрети персонажів художнього твору, мультимедійне оснащення, презентація «Alice in Wonderland».

PROCEDURE

T. Today we are here to be involved in a magic atmosphere of a fairy-tale. We are going to meet very famous characters from a very famous book written by Lewis Carroll. During our literary event we will learn a lot of interesting things as for the writer of book and its characters, we’ll do quizzes, sing songs, dance and we’ll play for sure.

(Розповідь супроводжується презентацією, підготовленою старшокласниками.)

P1. Lewis Carroll is a writer, a mathematician, a philosopher and a photographer. His real name is Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. The writer was born on the 27th of January in 1832. Dodgson was born in a little parsonage of Daresbury in Cheshire.

P2. Lewis Carroll was forth child in the family. There were eleven children in the family of a priest: four boys and seven girls.

P3. Charles started his education at home. He was very clever and smart.

He studied very well and was fond of getting to know something new.

By the way, he was a left-hander.

P4. At the age of twelve he entered a private school. In 1845 he entered Rugby School. All the time he showed the best in his education.

P5. At the beginning of 1851 he moved to Oxford where he entered the Christ Church, a very famous college under Oxford University. Because of his beautiful skills in Mathematics he received a Bachelor Degree. For 26 years he taught Maths.

P6. He started writing during his education at the college. He wrote poems, short stories and sent them to the magazines under the nickname of Lewis Carroll. Since 1854 his works appeared in such publishing as “The Comic Times”, “The Train”.

P7. In 1856 a new dean appeared at the college. His name was Henry Liddell. He had five children. Among them was his daughter Alice. In 1864 he wrote his famous work “Alice in the Wonderland”. He also published many scientific works in Mathematics. It should be mentioned that his hobby was photography.

P8. It is interesting to know that it was published more than 300 times.

It was translated into 50 languages. The total edition of the book is a quarter of a million. Lewis Carroll visited Russia in 1867. He had been to Moscow. He found it very interesting and fantastic.

T. Our pupils have introduced us some facts about Lewis Carroll. Let’s see if you really were very attentive while listening to the report. Be ready for the quizzes. For every answer which is right you can get so-called “Alicia”.

T. You are very clever children. You were rather attentive and gave right answers. And how be ready to show your awareness as for the book written by Lewis Carroll “Alice in the Wonderland”. For this kind of work you will be presented with some “Alice cards”.

  8. What card was accused in eating a cookie? (Card 5)
  9. What did Alice do to be small and then big? (Drink something from the bottle)
  10. Where did Alice fall down? (Into the hole)

P1. Now it’s high time to see a nice dancing of Cards from the book “Alice in the Wonderland”. Our dancers are dressed in funny card costumes.

P2. It was a pleasure to watch this dancing performed by our beautiful cards.

Now we will play. There are two teams. One team shows pantomime and the other team will guess the character from the book.

P3. Attention! Attention! Our actors and actresses are ready to show you performance. Your task is to be attentive and then take part in some games.

Dear actors and actresses, we will watch and applaud you.

(До уваги глядачів пропонується перегляд невеликих сценок з художнього твору. Після кожного перегляду учням пропонують гру, мета якої – залучити школярів до активної співпраці.)

Part ONE (Alice meets a Cat)

Alice. Kind Cat, would you be so kind as to tell me how I can get out of the forest not to be here till night.

Cat. No problem! Well, where do you want to get?

Alice. Anywhere, but far from here.

Cat. If you go for a long time, you will get somewhere for sure. But the question is – who wants it?

Alice. I want it, of course.

Cat. Well, well… Then turn around, one step forward, two steps back. There you can find a group … By the way, they all are without brains.

Перша гра-конкурс «A CUP OF TEA»

Запрошуємо дві команди. Кожна команда має порожню чашку та наповнений водою-чаєм чайник. На відстані 5-7 метрів знаходяться столи з чашками на шість персон. Завдання кожної команди – наповнити ці чашки чаєм як найшвидше. Переможець – команда, яка виконає завдання першою. Вболівальники можуть підтримувати свої команди, вигукувати кричали, але обов'язково англійською мовою.

Part TWO Alice meets on April Hare

Alice. I am so tired. May I sit here and drink some tea?

April  Hare. Why did you come here? Who called you?

Alice. But…but… I

April  Hare. Go to the hayloft!

Alice. But there isn’t any.

April Hare. And what of it?

Hatter.  Look here, you can stand here. You won’t hinder anybody.

April Hare. What is the difference between the crow and the office.

Hatter. As for me it is not interesting. S am leaving you.

April Hare. It’s OK. We’ll feel better than with you.

Now I want to say that we don’t need any hare’s, especially when they are so noisy, rude and playful.

Конкурс «PHOTO»

Це своєрідне складання командами пазлу. Кожна команда отримує розрізаний на частини сюжетний малюнок із художнього твору про Алісу. За певний відведений час група повинна зібрати цей пазл.

Part THREE

April Hare. Well, well, it’s very nice! Now we have a lot of share place here.

Sonya. Oh, look! It’s five o’clock! It’s high time to drink tea.

Alice. It would be better to wash up the cups.

Sonya. Of, course, not. We tried to move them, even changed them by their places. But we are not just in time.

Alice. But why?

Sonya. Because April Hare quarreled with time.

Alice. How could he?

Hatter. He was bored. And he decided to waste the time. That’s why he wrote the edict, then the second. As a result: the Time took offence. Now the clocks show only 5, it means it’s high time for drinking tea.

Конкурс «MIME»

У цьому конкурсі необхідно без слів, тільки за допомогою міміки показати персонаж твору. Кожна команда тричі демонструє пантоміму, отримуючи завдання, які записано на картках. Команда-суперник має відгадати персонаж.

Part FOUR (Alice with the Queen)

Queen. Who is here? A stranger… a girl… How has she turn out to be here, on the crock field? Nobody can walk here! Cut her head immediately!

Alice. Please, your Majesty, may I stay here?

Queen. OK, but you are to be at the side of the road.

Alice. What about playing game here?

Queen. No, no! It’s impossible! Look here, there is some noise. What is happening here?

(Two cards are coming.)

Queen. What were you doing?

Jack 1. We were repainting roses.

Queen. What roses?

Jack 2. Those roses from your garden. We were painting white roses in the red color and red roses in white color.

Queen. Couldn’t you find orange color?

Jack 1,2. No, we couldn’t.

Queen. Punish them! Execute them! Execute everybody!

Alice. Sorry, but you can do nothing because you are a pack of cards.

Конкурс «WHITE RABBIT»

На команди розподілятися необов'язково. За правильну відповідь винагороду видають персонально.  Іграшкового білого кролика заздалегідь ховають, треба відгадати де саме він знаходиться.
