We begin our holiday with a parade of the fairy-tales characters.
They will say a few words about themselves. And your task is guess
who they are, from what fairy-tales they have come.
Cinderella: I’m a beautiful girl. I have long fair hair.
My eyes are blue and big. But I don’t have nice dresses.
I don’t have beautiful shoes. I sleep in the kitchen.
I don’t have a mother. But my sisters have beautiful
dresses and shoes. Who am I?
Red Riding Hood: I am a nice little girl. I love my mother and grandmother. I have a white skirt and grandmother.
I have a white skirt and a shirt on. I have a red hat on.
I have a basket in my hand. Who am I?
Malvina: I am a very nice girl. I have a round face.
My eyes are large and blue. My hair is blue and long.
I have a blue ribbon in my hair. My dress is blue too.
I’m very kind and clever. I can read and write.
I help my friends. Who am I?
Karabas – Baradas: I’m a big man. I have a very long beard.
My mouth is big and round. My eyes are very big and round too. I am …
Pinocchio: I’m small and very thin. I have a long nose.
My hair is long. I have a hat on. I’m kind to my friends.
I help them. I’m made of wood. I am …
Teacher: Well done! You have guessed all the characters.
And now the pupils of the seventh form will dramatize
two fairy-tales in a new interpretation.
The Golden Fish.
Teacher (T): Once upon a time there lived an old man with his wife.
They were common people and lived as other people did.
One day the old man said to his wife.
Grandfather (Gf): Granny, oh Granny, what shall we have for supper?
Grandmother (Gm): Go to the shop and buy a tin of sprats in oil.
T: So the old man went to the shop and bought a tin of sprats in oil.
Gf: So, Granny, we shall have a tasty supper. Have you prepared
mashed potatoes?
Gm: Of course, I have. Open the tin and let’s have supper.
Don’t waste our time.
Oh, what is it? There is a
Golden Fish in the tin. For god’s sake, what shall I do?
Golden Fish (GF): Don’t eat me, old man. I shall fulfill your three wishes.
Gf: All right. I shall have a talk with my Granny.
Gf: Oh, Granny, dear! What an unusual tin of sprats I have bought.
There is the Golden Fish there. She speaks like a human being.
She promises to fulfill our three wishes.
Gm: Is it really so? You are a silly man, go back to the Golden
Fish and ask her for a thousand dollars. Be quick.
T: The man went to the Golden Fish and asked her for a thousand dollars.
GF: Go to your wife and you’ll have a thousand dollars.
Gm: How happy I am. I shall buy a fur coat, fine clothes, shoes.
I shall buy a house …
Gf: Are you satisfied, Granny? We are rich now.
Gm: Am I satisfied? Are you joking? Go back to the Golden Fish
and ask her for Oriflamme cosmetics.
Gf: What for is that cosmetics for you? You are old and your face is wrinkled.
Gm: What are you talking about? Go and ask what I have said
otherwise I shall eat that Fish!
Gf: What shall I do? I have to go.
Gf: Oh, dear Fish! I’m so sorry but my wife has become mad.
She wants Oriflamme cosmetics.
GF: Go home, old man. Your wife shall have that cosmetics.
Gf: Well, Granny. What are you doing? You are like a scarecrow.
Gm: It doesn’t matter. Go to the Golden Fish and ask her for the third wish.
Gf: What is it?
Gm: I want to be as young and beautiful as Claudia Shiffer.
Be in a hurry!
Gf: Oh, my dear Fish. The more we have the more we want.
My wife wants to be as young and beautiful as Claudia Shiffer.
GF: Well, old man. You are a pool man. Your wife is cruel and greedy.
Go home. You will not recognize your wife.
Gm: Oh, my magic glass, tell me, please: who is the best in the world?
Looking-glass: You are, you are.
Gf: Oh, Granny, you are so beautiful, charming, I have never seen such a
beauty. I’m very pleased to have such a pretty wife!
Gm: I am not your wife. You are feeble and old.
And I’m young and beautiful. Go away.
Gf: Oh, Granny, Granny. Don’t be so cruel! Pity me!
Gm: my security! Take him away!
Cinderella.
Сinderella (Cin): How unhappy I am! My stepmother doesn’t take care of me.
She always hurts me, does me harm. She doesn’t allow me to
sleep for twenty-four hours a day. How unhappy I am!
Fairy: Cinderella, don’t you know about the disco party?
There will be a new Ukrainian there. May be he will
fall in love with you.
Cin: I know all your magic with a pumpkin, a carriage, rats and what not.
Fairy: Cinderella, but you have a chance to get married.
Cin: To get married? Let me see … The new Ukrainian is a rich man.
And I shall be a rich lady. So I have decided to go. Do your magic.
Cin: Where is the new Ukrainian? Haven’t you
seen the new Ukrainian? I’m eager to get acquainted with him!
Here you are! I have been looking
for you for a long time. I want to marry you.
New Ukrainian (NU): Oh, my God. How ugly she is! What a rude person!
I must go away.
Cin: Oh, my new Ukrainian. Where are you going? I love you dearly.
I want to marry you. Don’t you see how beautiful I am?
NU: Oh, mother dear. Save me, please, from this scarecrow.
Oh, my shoe! I have lost my shoe!
Cin: Oh, the shoe. What a nice shoe! I know whose shoe this is.
I will find you, my dear, and then you will learn how cute I am.
,,Attention, attention! Everybody should be in the hall.
A beauty is looking for the young man who has lost his shoe.’’
Cin: That’s not yours! If is not for you. Oh, here you are!
The shoe is just your size.
NU: Oh, no, no, this is not my shoe. You are mistaken.
Cin: How happy I am! Are you happy, my new Ukrainian?
You are lucky to marry such a pretty girl.
NU: Cinderella, don’t you feel sorry for me? I don’t love you.
Cin: Your love? I don’t need your love. I need your money.
I want to be a well-to-do woman. I want to have beautiful dresses,
hats, to visit restaurants, to go to Hawaii. There are my wishes.
And your love is not in need. Don’t you understand?
Since now you will be doing everything I want.
NU: Poor me, poor me. How unhappy I am!
Cin: What are you talking about? Tell everybody that you are happy.
NU: I’m happy, do you hear? I’m happy.
Cin: Stop crying. Smile!
Oh, I don’t care
How much you love me, only love me.
From all nights will be the day, that’s true.
And all next days will be the same with you.
Some day, I pray, you will love me
And as much as I love you.
T: Did you like these fairy-tales?
Children: Of course, we did.
T: Now let’s learn who was the best in introducing the fairytale character.
Your applause will help me.
T: And now we’ll see whose drawing is the best.
,,The More We Get Together’’.
