“We wish you a Merry Christmas”

Форма заходу: вікторина.

Цілі заходу:

1. практичні:

- навчити впізнавати ЛО з теми "Зимові свята в англомовних країнах";

- розвивати навички аудіювання;

- систематизувати вміння учнів у компетентності в письмі;

2. освітня:

- поглибити знання учнів про традиції країни, мова якої вивчається;

3. розвивальні:

- розвивати в учнів здогадку, кмітливість, слух, логічне мислення, уяву,

пам’ять, мовленнєву реакцію, інтерес до вивчення англійської мови;

4. виховна:

- прищеплювати інтерес та почуття поваги до традицій країни, мова якої вивчається.

Хід позакласного заходу

Етап І. Організаційний.

1.           Вступне слово вчителя. Повідомлення цілей заходу.

Мовна зарядка.

Для актуалізації лексичного та граматичного матеріалу, вивченого раніше, вчитель організовує мовну зарядку. Він простить одного з учнів попрацювати репортером газети “Daily News” та взяти інтерв´ю у декількох „перехожих” про святкування Різдва.

(Приклади питань:

1. When do people in Ukraine celebrate Christmas?
2. What are the symbols of this holiday?
3. What presents do you usually get for Christmas?
4. What Christmas traditions do you know?)

Hello, dear! That`s great to see you here! Today we are going to sing your favorite songs, guess the riddles, do a quiz and interesting tasks. We`ll have a lot of fun.

1.2. Поділ групи на команди.

Our event will be held in the form of a competition. We’ll form 2 teams. There

are a lot of pictures in my Christmas hat. Now your task is to take and name them

 (Кожен з учнів підходить до вчителя та дістає картку з різдвяного

мішечка. Завдання полягає в тому, щоб озвучити правильно англійською мовою те, що діти побачать на картках)

I wish the stronger one to win! Good luck!

Етап ІІ. Основний.

1. “How well do you know Christmas symbols?”

Now each team receives a card with Christmas symbols.  Your task is to remember as many words, as you can:

Stocking

Christmas tree

Christmas carol

Presents

Christmas Eve

Decorations

Lights

Card

Christmas Pudding

Celebration

Christmas Traditions

2. Конкурс “Guess the Riddles!”

Guys, the next task for you will be to guess the riddles I`m going to read

them and you`ll guess the answers. The team that guesses more riddles wins.

          - «It’s blue by night, By day it’s white. It is cold and not dry, It falls from thesky. (snow.)

•          What man cannot live inside the house? (a snowman)
•          I come with cold and snow. But children like me and know. (Winter.)
•          We decorate…with toys, glass balls, sweets, bells. (Christmas tree)
•          Which month of the year is the shortest? (February)

       -   You make them out of snow just for fun (snowballs).

3. Combine the parts of the poems

blowing         is white

All day and

Snowflakes                   on the ground,
On our houses and          in my hair are falling
On my nose and           are falling
Snowflakes                   everywhere in our town

Завдання полягає в тому, щоб якомога швидше поєднати частини речень  віршів, які розташовані в хаотичному порядку

5. Написання різдвяних поздоровлень

Учні пишуть різдвяні повідомлення та дарують міні-листівки один одному

6.Підсумки.

Our event is ending. I hope you enjoyed! Everyone did a great job today! However, the time to determine the winning team has come! (Учитель разом із дітьми рахують бали та визначають команду переможця) Thank you for your activity!
