Where does tea come from? Tea comes from the leaves of a tree called Camellia sinensis. The three main types of tea are : Black, Oolong and Green. Herbal tea does not come from the leaves of a tea plant, therefore, is not considered to be real tea. Roots, stems, flowers and parts of plants are used to make herbal tea.

Where is tea grown? Today, tea is grown around 37 countries. The main producers are : China India Kenya Sri Lanka These four countries account for more than 50 % of the total tea production. Although new strong players are emerging in this market:Indonesia, Vietnam and some Africans countries.

Tea discovery According to another legend, tea was discovered by a poor woodcutter who was chopping trees in the hills when he saw several monkeys plucking leaves off a tree and chewing them. Around the world The Japanese still are most found of traditional green tea. Thousands or men and women attend tea schools in order to learn of the Japanese tea ceremony.
