Materials: picture of food/drinks, sheet of papers, pencils, cards. Instructions: Divide the class into two teams. Pupils look at the picture and identify the food/drink. Let pupils look at the picture for one minute, then close the picture. Players, in teams, try to remember what food/drink was in the picture. They make sentences using the structure “There is some(a/an)/There are some”. Each correct sentence gets one point. Then players look at the picture again and teacher names one food item from it. Pupils have to identify whether the food item is healthy or unhealthy. Each team has 2 cards – the green one for healthy food and the red one for unhealthy. The leaders of the groups raise an appropriate card. Each correct answer also gets one point. The team with the most points is the winner.
