The Boston Globe The Globe was founded in 1872 by six Boston businessmen, led by Eben Jordan, who jointly invested $150,000. The first issue was published on March 4, 1872 and cost four cents.

The International Herald Tribune The Herald was founded on October 4, 1887, as the European edition of the New York Herald by the parent paper's owner, James Gordon Bennett, Jr.

The Cherokee Phoenix The Cherokee Phoenix was the first newspaper published by Native Americans in the United States. The first issue was published February 21, 1828, in New Echota, Cherokee Nation (now Georgia).

The Washington Times The Washington Times is a daily broadsheet newspaper published in Washington, D.C. It was founded in 1982 by Unification Church founder Sun Myung Moon. The Times is known for its conservative stance on political and social issues.
