What Are Prepositions of Place?Prepositions of place describe the position of a person or object. Examples: in, on, under, behind, between, next to, opposite.

Common Prepositions. IN – inside something. ON – on a surface. AT – specific place. UNDER – below something. BEHIND – at the back. BETWEEN – in the middle of two. NEXT TO – beside

Rules and Usage. Use 'in' for enclosed spaces. Use 'on' for surfaces. Use 'at' for specific points or locations.
